NieR Automata for the Switch

Nintendo fans will be able to play NieR: Automata on the Switch very soon, with a confirmed release date for the port.

During its Mini Direct Partner Showcase, Nintendo announced that popular sci-fi action game NieR: Automata will be coming to the Switch on October 6. The End of YoRHa Edition will come with all DLC and add-ons as well as Switch-exclusive cosmetics like a kitsune mask shown in the new trailer.

The gaming community was excited to hear that NieR: Automata would be coming to the portable console. NieR: Automata is a hack-and-slash focuses on a team of androids looking to reclaim Earth for humanity after machines took over. Will NieR run well on the Nintendo Switch?

It’s unknown how well NieR: Automata will run on the Switch.

There’s always concern when a large, popular game is announced for the Nintendo Switch. While the Switch is innovative in many ways, it lacks the same power as other consoles and PCs. This has resulted in a few ports of questionable quality making it to market. This shouldn’t be a problem with NieR: Automata, though.

To the shock of many, the game was announced as a native console port instead of a cloud version of the game. Kingdom Hearts and other big titles were made into cloud ports for the Nintendo Switch in the past, resulting in very rough gameplay. Expectations are high for NieR: Automata despite its expansive world and the Switch’s limitations. Nobody should expect perfection but it will likely be workable, at the very least.

What is NieR: Automata he End of YoRHa Edition’s release date on Nintendo Switch?

NieR: Automata: The End of YoRHa Edition has an October 6 release date for the Nintendo Switch.

You can already pre-order it in the eShop. The game is $39.99 and comes with an abundance of DLC, including cosmetics and three battle arenas.

With intense fighting scenes, tough bosses, and a deep, emotional story to uncover, NieR: Automata is an award-winning game that Nintendo fans can’t wait to get their hands on.
