Kamisato Ayaka will return in the new Genshin Impact character banner of update 2.6.

Hoyoverse has revealed the content plan for the second half of Genshin Impact 2.6. The biggest announcement is the next round of character banners, which will feature fan-favorite and popular meta pick Kamisato Ayaka beginning April 19. She is joined by a rerun of her signature five-star weapon Mistsplitter Reforged. Fans who suddenly need more free Primogems will enjoy the three upcoming events including a rerun of Marvelous Merchandise.

Kamisato Ayato returns for Genshin Impact 2.6

The new Genshin Impact banner coming in 2.6 is none other than Kamisato Ayaka. The cryo sword-wielder is an extremely popular five-star given her excellent freeze application and high damage output. The choice is also a thematic one as her older brother Kamisato Ayato’s banner is still available in-game. Kamisato Ayaka’s new banner also comes with a set of four-stars and her signature weapon.

The featured four-stars on the new Genshin Impact 2.6 banner are Sayu, Razor, and Rosaria. The last time Razor was featured as a four-star was all the way back in 1.6 on Kazuha’s banner. Sayu rates highly on our open-world exploration tier list, and Rosaria’s crit rate buff can be very useful in high-level content. The new banner will become available on April 19.

New Genshin Impact 2.6 events announced

To help players get pulls for Kamisato Ayato, Hoyoverse has also announced the remaining Genshin Impact 2.6 lineup of new events.

The first event is a new type called Vibro-Crystal Research. Details are scarce, but it will take place in Liyue and hosted by a researcher from Fontaine. A week later, players will get access to a new round of Ley Line Overflow. EXP Book and Mora Ley Lines will drop double rewards for the duration of the event.

May 6 marks the return of one of Genshin Impact’s most popular events. Marvelous Merchandise isn’t the most engaging event, but it brings excellent rewards and fun conversations with an interesting NPC named Liben. The standard rewards of books, talent upgrade materials, ascension materials, and Primogems are expected. All of these rewards will be very useful for those who plan to pull on the new Genshin Impact 2.6 banner.
