Jensen interview hints that Impact might leave Team Liquid
When Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen revealed that he was re-signing with Team Liquid, he might have accidentally leaked some unannounced team changes.
Team Liquid tweeted a short video of Jensen discussing his plans with Team Liquid after signing a three-year contract.
“I’m excited about this because I believe this is the best chance if I want to make it far internationally. When I heard their plans for the 2021 season, it aligned with what I have in mind. I’m excited for another three years with Team Liquid,” Jensen said. “I’m looking forward to accomplishing much more.”
Did Jensen leak that Impact is leaving Team Liquid?
While fans were happy to hear that Jensen was going to be playing on the top LCS team next year, that sentiment wasn’t what caught their attention. Jensen started to talk about being on Team Liquid for two years already, something that he said made him and support Yong-In “CoreJJ” Jo the “longest-standing members on the team.”
“It’s crazy to think,” Jensen said. “I still feel I’m new so it’s weird, man.”
“I genuinely believe this is the best chance I have at making it far internationally… so it was a pretty easy decision for me.” – @Jensen

But North American fans familiar with Team Liquid know that Jung “Impact” Eon-Yeong has been with the squad since 2017. That’s three years, one more than either Jensen or CoreJJ. Impact joined the team from Cloud9 in November of 2017. His contract is up November 17, 2020.
It’s possible that Jensen simply misspoke and forgot about Impact’s longer run with the Team Liquid crew. Or he could have accidentally leaked that Impact is not going to be playing for the team come next season.
Across social media, League of Legends fans have speculated that Impact is now out. They also are confident jungler Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen is being replaced. It’s theorized that top laner Barney “Alphari” Morris and jungler Lucas “Santorin” Tao Kilmer Larsen will be joining the Team Liquid roster for 2021. In fact, some fans even guessed that Jensen wouldn’t have agreed to stay on the team if Impact and Broxah had remained.
