Is KT Rolster heating up in the fight for LCK playoff spots?

KT Rolster is a legendary organization within League of Legends, but it has not been able to fight among the region’s best teams for some time now. The team is currently battling for the last spot in the 2020 LCK Summer Split Playoffs, but do they have what it takes?

KT is currently fighting for the last spot in the summer playoffs, but it will be a hard journey to get there. KT is sitting at a 7-9 record after struggling to find wins against teams above them in the standings. Directly above them we find Afreeca Freecs with a 9-7 record, close to securing the next spot past KT. The two teams will meet in week 10 of the regular split, where KT will have to play their best game to win.

KT kept their playoff hopes alive after a great performance against last-place team SeolHaeOne Prince. SP has been struggling to pick up wins throughout the whole of the summer split, currently sitting on a dreadful 1-15 record. Everyone expected KT to win the series, but it turned into a very bloody match.

That match against SP was special because KT’s most important players had a good showing, collecting a lot of kills to boost their confidence going into the final and most important matches of the split. Kim “Aiming” Ha-ram in particular was outstanding in game two, where he played what may have been the game of his life. He picked up 19 kills on Caitlyn without dying once, which is something that no player has ever done before in the LCK. It’s rare to see players getting that many kills in one game, especially in recent years.

Aiming even secured himself a pentakill in the action-packed game.

Is KT Rolster good enough to make the LCK playoffs?

KT has been on the brink of the playoffs all split after barely making it in the spring split. Once again, KT will have to fight for the last spot and their chances are not looking great.

KT has two matches left. One of them is against Afreeca Freecs and will be a must-win series. The last is against DAMWON Gaming, a team that has been impressive throughout the summer. It’s unlikely that KT will have a chance against Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon and Heo “Showmaker” Su, and even the game against Afreeca Freecs will be a hard one.

KT lost their first match against Afreeca Freecs 2-0 back in week 3, but have since then shown that they can play good League of Legends when all of their players are on the same page. The odds are against KT, but we have seen stranger things happen before in League of Legends.
