Marvel and NetEase earlier revealed the first look at their upcoming 6v6 team-based shooter, and now players are curious about getting access to Marvel Rivals closed alpha.
Marvel Rivals is a hero-shooter in the truest sense of the word, bringing iconic superheroes to the 6v6 game. From Hulk to Magik, popular heroes have been spotted in the short trailer, which showcased gameplay and setting.
However, for more information, players must wait until May when the closed alpha for Marvel Rivals kicks off on Steam and Epic Games.
Players can get early access to Marvel Rivals through the closed alpha in May. The developer has opened applications for all players, but only a few will be invited to take the game for a spin. Here’s how to apply:
Fill out your details, including region, past experience in PvP games, and email address
Make sure you check the maximum system requirements to play Marvel Rivals
That’s all! If you’re eligible and lucky, NetEase may add you to the highly exclusive list of Marvel Rivals’ closed alpha playtesters.
A closed alpha is different from a beta testing phase. The latter is more inclusive and accessible, but the alpha test typically includes a few hundred or even fewer players. Don’t be fazed if your application isn’t shortlisted, as NetEase may roll out a beta test soon after the alpha stage.
The test will likely run for a short time and may lead to a much more comprehensive beta stage. At the end of the test, the developer may expect feedback and data on the game. After several stages of playtesting and player feedback, the final product may look much different than the trailer.
