The world’s largest fighting game tournament is returning with Evo 2022. Here’s the Evo game lineup, how to watch Evo, and where to watch it.

Evo will be back in its full glory this year. The annual fighting game tournament will be taking place in Las Vegas in front of a live crowd, with players sitting next to one another for the matches. This comes after ill-fated events that included cancellations and online spin-offs.

Evo 2022 will feature nine games and will return to its normal start time in August. Here are all the details for the event and what fans can look forward to.

Evo 2022 game lineup

Evo 2022 will feature a total of nine main stage games alongside showcases for other titles, including two hotly anticipated releases set for later this year. The full Evo 2022 game lineup includes:

The PlayStation 4 versions of all nine games will be used at the event.

The Evo game lineup predominantly features modern sequels to long-running series that were featured in past Evo events. Granblue Fantasy Versus will technically make its debut, but was meant to be featured at Evo 2020 and was a side tournament during Evo 2021 Online. Smash Bros. will not be featured at Evo this year at the request of Nintendo.

Alongside these games are several showcase titles. The most notable is Street Fighter 6, which will have a playable demo at the event. Evo will also host a $100,000 tournament for upcoming fighting game MultiVersus, a platform fighter that pulls from a wide variety of media from Game of Thrones to DC Comics to Rick & Morty.

How to watch Evo 2022

Evo 2022 will be broadcasted live on Evo’s official Twitch channel.

Though some Evo events in years past have featured final days that were broadcasted on ESPN, none of the involved parties have indicated that this is the case this year. Given how close the event is at this point, it’s unlikely that there will be an ESPN television broadcast.

The good news is that all the festivities will be available for viewers on Twitch. This will include select matchups of pools, as well as the entirety of the proper tournament.

When is Evo 2022?

Evo 2022 will run from August 5 to 7.

The first two days of the event will feature pool play with some of the main games wrapping up during that time. The top eight of Skullgirls 2nd Encore will wrap up the first day on the main stage, while the top eights for Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, Melty Blood: Type Lumina, Granblue Fantasy: Versus, and Dragon Ball FighterZ will take up the main stage for the entirety of day two.

Day three will feature the top eights for King of Fighters XV, Tekken 7, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, and Guilty Gear Strive. These games will get the full arena treatment, taking place in front of a large crowd.

Where is Evo 2022?

Evo 2022 will be hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will be staggered across two venues.

Mandalay Bay’s South Convention Center will host the first two days of the event. The final day of the event will see the action move to the Michelob Ultra Arena in front of a live crowd.
