Fortnite Announces Battle Royal Birthday Celebration Plans
Given that it is one of the biggest gaming projects in the world, Fortnite’s 7th birthday celebration was bound to be headline-worthy. While the platform has had its hands full collaborating with top stars and hosting many in-demand titles, it still found time to celebrate with its community.
In celebration of this milestone event, Fortnite has unveiled new changes to its Fortnite 31.20 hotfix. In a public statement, Fortnite has said that it is looking specifically to reward its players.
“At this birthday party, the guests get gifts — unlock three new Quest rewards as you play!” a blog post said.
What’s New With Fortnite’s Battle Royale?
Fortnite’s Battle Royale will include three new quests up until until October 1, 2024, at 2 AM ET. Along with these quests are exclusive rewards. First, there is the Firework Flare Gun that can be used to light up wooden structures. Another reward is balloons that can be used to move more easily around the island. Finally, there is a slice of virtual birthday cake that can be used to restore players’ health and shield.
Fortnite has also teased a birthday medallion that can be found in any birthday present package. Not only do the medallions offer boosts like balloons when jumping but it does not reveal the players’ location on the map.
While you can win any of these prizes during the individual quests, there are bonus prizes to be won for completing multiple. For example, finishing 1 birthday quest will win you the Birthday Bud Spray, three will win you a Cake Clobberer Pickaxe, and five gets you the prinkly Space Cake Back Bling.
All these prizes have been designed in the classic animated Fortnite style and have been well-received by fans on social media.
