best games 2023

As 2022 comes to a close, there’s plenty of reason to look forward to what the next year has to offer in gaming. The past year was crammed with hit titles, leaving high expectations for 2023.

2023 is set to be an incredible year for gaming, with many titles releasing, taking their proud place in various genres. 2022 saw the release of The Elden Ring, God of War: Ragnarok, and Warzone 2, among others, setting an incredible benchmark. Throughout the year, gamers had a new title to obsess over almost every year, so expectations for 2023 are naturally high.

Gaming industry heavy-lifters have lifted the curtain on dozens of titles slated for 2023, but here are the games we are most excited about.

Here are the best games of 2023

2023 will see the release of titles like Resident Evil 4 Remake, Street Fighter, Forspoken, and more, but there are six best games of 2023 that the gaming whisper network is already humming with. Elden Ring has left some massive shoes to fill when it comes to popularity, but we believe one of these games may cause a similar buzz in 2023.

Diablo IV

Diablo IV lures us back into the darkness. Leaks and the official trailer confirm that the upcoming installment in the action RPG will be much darker, disturbing, and vicious. Diablo IV’s excitement has been building since 2019 when the game was announced at BlizzCon. As the release date draws closer, players become more eager to face Lilith, the main antagonist.

Diablo IV releases on June 6, 2023.

Final Fantasy XVI

After a six-year-long gap, Square Enix and developers are finally releasing the 16th installment in the iconic Final Fantasy series in 2023. Final Fantasy XV did a great job of tiding over the fans during the long waiting period, but players are now ready to spin around time as Clive Rosfield. But it won’t be all roses. Final Fantasy XVI is confirmed to be the most violent game in the series so far.

Final Fantasy XV1 will launch on June 22, 2023.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Superhero games are many, but only a few allow you to swing across the Big Apple in a sturdy Spider suit. PC players have long been hearing about the impeccable combat experience and smooth movement mid-air in Insomniac’s Spider-Man, and they’ll finally experience it firsthand in 2023. Players will get a chance to fight bad guys as Peter Parker in his iconic red spider suit, only this time, he’s much more skilled. The crime-fighting master is no longer a rookie.

Marvel’s Spider-Man will launch in the Fall of 2023.

Hogwarts Legacy

The year 2022 had chart-topping titles, but fans were still talking about Hogwarts Legacy teasers and trailers, such is the legacy of the Harry Potter series. Despite a few official teasers, the hype around the magical game remains intact. Curses, spells, dark arts, ancient myths, and prophecies will return to Hogwarts castle for players to ward off evil and walk the hallways before Harry existed.

Hogwarts Legacy will be released on February 10, 2023.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

When Cal was a mere padawan, he decided not to reform the Jedi Order to keep the Force-sensitive children out of the hands of the Empire. Instead, he destroyed the Holocron after seeing the warning signs and dark visions. Consequently, Cal was on the run. Five years later, players will finally fight for their well-deserved closure in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor releases on March 17, 2023.
