Rogue vs. Fnatic: 2021 LEC Summer betting analysis

It’s time to find out who the top team in the LEC will be when Rogue and Fnatic clash in the seventh week of the 2021 LEC Summer Split. 

After weeks of consistently good play, Rogue and Fnatic will find out who the better team really is. The winning side will take sole possession of first place in the LEC, with only a few more games left to play in the regular split. Both teams are already locked in for the playoffs, but getting that top seed can be crucial in the chase for the LEC trophy and a spot at the 2021 World Championship. 

Rogue will enter the match with two recent wins in the bag after taking down Schalke 04 and Astralis last week. This match will be against a much harder opponent and will require Rogue’s absolute best play. Rogue is looking hungrier than ever for the trophy after barely losing in the final last split. That hunger might now be unleashed on Fnatic.

Rogue will likely enter the match with a plan of controlling the game from the laning phase and trying to avoid Fnatic’s aggressive play style. So far, Fnatic is the team in the LEC to make the most kills and will try to come out swinging right from the early levels. This is what Fnatic has been good at since Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau swapped to the jungle and it’s what has led the team to the top of the LEC. With a current winning streak of five games, Fnatic will enter Summoner’s Rift against Rogue with great confidence. 

It’s possible that Fnatic could draft a late-game composition and still come out ahead, but it looks to be too big of a risk against a team like Rogue. Instead, Fnatic can put Bwipo and the solo laners on something aggressive and potentially snowball a lead. 

The bot lane of Elias “Upset” Lipp and Zdravets “Hylissang” Galabov has proven to be consistent. Rogue will likely try to rely on mid laner Emil “Larssen” Larsson to choke out his opponents and get leads, but still be aware that jungler Kacper “Inspired” Słoma isn’t shy of punishing lanes in the early stages of games.

Odds in a close LEC match between Rogue and Fnatic 

A match between Rogue and Fnatic has likely never been closer than this one. It will be hard to predict a winner in this one. Currently, Fnatic seems like the team with the most momentum because of its recent five-game winning streak. Fnatic has already beaten Rogue one time during this split. With that said, a match like this will be all about who hits their best form and gets a favorable draft. The two teams will likely have different priorities in champion selection, so there will be a lot to look out for in the drafting phase. 

The two teams are very close, and so are the odds on this match. Rogue is the slight favorite with an odds line of 1.78 while a win for Fnatic will give slightly more with odds of 1.92. To predict a winner in a match like this will come down to recent form, and Fnatic is actually looking better right now with its winning streak.
