100 Thieves content creator Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter has apparently been enjoying 2020.

Valkyrae was named Content Creator of the Year at the Game Awards, showing how popular she has grown in recent months. She has seen great success on YouTube after signing an exclusive deal with the platform thanks to social games such as Among Us. In fact, it’s the only game she’s played over the past three months.

Valkyrae’s move to YouTube has been quite lucrative. During a recent broadcast, the popular streamer accidentally leaked her YouTube earnings by showing her creator dashboard. The moment was quickly screenshotted by viewers, who shared the impressive numbers around social media.

How much does Valkyrae earn from streaming?

The creator dashboard boasted some big numbers. This included earnings over the past 28 days. Valkyrae’s videos and streams earned about $173,000 in a month. This money was earned by her getting 36.4 million views during those 28 days, adding up to 8.4 million hours of watch time.

While this sounds like an insane amount, it was actually 6% lower than the previous such period.

Valkyrae also makes money from her partnership with 100 Thieves as well as through multiple brand sponsorships. This means she makes much more money than the numbers people saw on YouTube would indicate.

How much do YouTubers make?

YouTube’s head of gaming, Ryan Wyatt, once stated that Valkyrae was the fastest-growing streamer in the world thanks to her Among Us content. But she is far from the most successful streamer on the platform. Fellow popular female streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys recently revealed in an interview that she spends over $20,000 a month to keep her content creation running, and she turns enough profit to make that worthwhile.

Forbes recently revealed the top earners for YouTube in 2020. Some of the biggest earners are not surprising. They include content creators like PewDiePie, Markiplier, Dude Perfect, and Mr. Beast. Jimmy “Mr. Beast” Donaldson earned $24 million in earnings in 2020 thanks to getting over 3 billion views this year.

But the number one spot went to a nine-year-old YouTuber named Ryan Kaji. His channel, Ryan’s World, hit over 12 billion views in 2020. The YouTube star had this spot last year as well thanks to his toy reviews. He earned $29.5 million in 2020 from YouTube alone. Kaji also has exclusive sponsorships and toy deals.
