xQc banned from Twitch, this time for sexually suggestive content

Controversial Twitch streamer Félix "xQc" Lengyel has been banned from the streaming platform.

Content creator and marketer Zach Bussey, who has a show on Twitch, revealed the reason on his own Twitter. He alleges xQc has been banned for anime nudity. According to Bussey, this usually amounts to a three-day ban from Twitch, but can be reduced to 24 hours if xQc is lucky.

People who were watching xQc's live stream gave a bit more insight into the anime nudity scandal.

xQc had been playing an innocent game of Connect Four whe he got a pop-up in the game featuring a woman who said, "I'll take my bra off." Instead of closing the game, xQc clicked "okay," thus leading to an image of the anime-style woman without the bra on anymore.

Another fan pointed out that xQc may have thought it would be censored, but others responded that xQc had actually entered a cheat code that uncensored the image.

While many of his fans joked that it was "worth it," some felt the punishment is deserved, since he intentionally followed the link knowing full well there might be nudity ahead if the cheat worked.

According to Twitch's official community guidelines, nudity and sexually explicit content, such as pornography, is prohibited on the platform.

"Sexually suggestive content or activities are also prohibited, although they may be allowed in educational contexts or for pre-approved licensed content, in each case subject to additional restrictions," the rules explain.

Twitch has been under fire in the past for their inconsistent bans around this subject. While some Just Chatting streamers have gotten away with very suggestive outfits and posing, artists drawing lewd anime-style cartoons were banned for being too graphic. Some even had their accounts indefinitely banned. Meanwhile, a few women have accidentally shown their private parts and only received a 24-hour ban.

xQc, not known for his subtlety, was quite vocal about not feeling bad for the anime artists. On stream, the former Overwatch League pro said their explicit drawings went beyond a woman bending over on camera.

"Dude! They draw the fucking backwards, like, entire pussies with like water on the sides. Like, dude, no shit you’re gonna get banned! What the fuck?" xQc ranted.

It will be interesting to see what xQc thinks of his own punishment after being so openly in favor of Twitch's rulings over other animated nudity in the past. So far, he hasn't said anything about the ban aside from a Tweet saying, "Too much juice this time."
