TSM signs two Fortnite players to compete in Championship Series

Team SoloMid is signing two new Fortnite pros.

As developer Epic Games continues to expand Fortnite's tournament scene with the Fortnite Championship Series, TSM is looking to make an even bigger impact on it with two new Fortnite players added to their squad. Emad "EmadGG" Nasif and Theo "Crue" Ferrer are two established players, and the announcement was met fondly on Twitter

According to their official announcement, Emad first made a name for himself when he qualified for the finals of the Summer Skirmish at PAX West last year. Since then, he's been popular on Twitch thanks to his streams with Turner "Tfue" Tenney and Thomas "72hrs" Mulligan.

"TSM was always my dream org to join - I even asked Myth to try out for the team back in July 2018. When TSM reached out to me I just had a huge smile on my face. It felt like I accomplished something HUGE," Emad said. "I’m so excited to be a part of this org and I can’t wait for what will happen next!”

Crue finished sixth at the Fortnite World Cup Solos Finals, taking home $600,000. He then placed 22nd in the Duos Finals, winning another $100,000. People may not have heard much about him prior the World Cup, but it's clear that his performance gained him some new fans. This included officials at TSM, who called his debut "explosive."

“I'm happy to join a huge organization like TSM.  I look forward to competing and improving on my road to become the best player I can be. I can't wait to share my journey with my followers as well,” Crue said.

The two Fortnite pros will join Ali "Myth" Kabbani, Daequan, Hamlinz, Vinny1x, and Zexrow on TSM's growing roster. TSM stated that Fortnite is "one of the youngest esports," which has led them to continue looking for new and young talent within the battle royale scene.

"It is always a pleasure to play a pivotal role in helping these young players grow and make their dreams into reality," the organization said. "We hope for our fans to join us in welcoming Emad and Crue into the TSM family and show them the support they deserve!"
