Splatoon 3 is getting a new single player campaign.
In the Nintendo Direct earlier today, it was announced that Splatoon 3’s expansion pass is getting a new DLC called Side Order, which will have a single-player campaign meant to be “replayed over and over.”
Side Order has you diving into the Spire of Order to find out what really happened to Inkopolis Square. Upgrade your run speed, splash damage, and other abilities as you take down enemies and learn the secrets of Inkopolis Square.
The stylish and mysterious single-player mode had Splatoon fans hyped. It seemed like an exciting break from the multiplayer modes while also diving deeper into the interesting lore behind the gameplay.
Unfortunately, it’s not coming out until spring of 2024.
The futuristic style and the gameplay details in the trailer will have Splatoon players speculating until the DLC finally comes out. Fans have already started wondering if the damage numbers in the trailer are eluding to an RPG-like gameplay experience.
Splatoon players were also excited to see Dedf1sh, who lost her free will when she was sanitized in the underground test facility. One fan noticed that Dedf1sh still spoke normally in the trailer, meaning some parts of her personality are still there after being sanitized. But only time will tell what really is going on in the testing facility and with Dedf1sh.
