Popular streamer Michael “shroud” Grzesiek recently had some harsh words about Grand Theft Auto Online.
Grand Theft Auto Online is old in game years, but still incredibly popular Updates for the online game are still being shipped, adding new heists and content. shroud still isn’t too sure that the game is worth all the hype, though.
While shroud said it was “cool” that the game is still being updated, it’s “not his style.”
“GTA Online was such a flop for me. It went in such a direction that I didn’t care for. Turned into some open-world kind of grief sandbox shitshow, you know? I didn’t like it,” shroud said.
Even though shroud isn’t a fan of Grand Theft Auto Online, the former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro added that he’s still holding out hope for Grand Theft Auto 6. While shroud is unsure if GTA 6 will be more to his taste, he stated that the game would be full of “dope ass shit” if the developers worked closely with the modding community.
Rockstar has yet to release information about the long-awaited sequel. GTA 6 is most likely not being released for quite some time. Meanwhile, Rockstar has been focusing on updates to GTA Online instead, including the Cayo Perico Heist. The constant addition of updates to GTA Online means GTA 6 is probably not Rockstar’s focus, but information may start trickling in now that the new console generation is established.
shroud is estimated to be worth upwards of $15 million, although the streamer has never confirmed this. He most likely is worth a lot, because shroud said he wouldn’t care if Twitch banned him from the platform and he likely made a significant amount of money from his short-lived partership with Microsoft’s Mixer social media platform. shroud is a very popular streamer with about 8.6 million followers on Twitch. Most of his money comes from partnerships, sponsorships, and subscribers. He also makes money off of ad revenue on YouTube.
As of August 2020, shroud has been dating 2D game artist and illustrator Hannah “Bnans” Kennedy. Bnans is a content creator and streamer with a sizable following on social media. She’s recently been playing a lot of Minecraft.
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is another popular Twitch streamer. Both streamers moved to Mixer after being offered hefty contracts before returning to Twitch after Mixer closed down. They are known to play games together and are friends outside of the streaming world as well.
