KT Rolster picks up mid laner Dove for the 2021 LCK season
KT Rolster has picked up another player for its 2021 LCK roster, and this time it’s mid laner Kim “Dove” Jae-yeon.
The former SANDBOX Gaming mid laner Dove will be playing under the KT banner in 2021 after a shaky 2020 season. Dove will be a part of the big new roster KT will be fielding next year, with a total of 12 players currently on the roster. Dove will be sharing the mid lane spot with Son “Ucal” Woo-hyeon and the rookie Lee “Vicla” Dae-gwang.
Dove joins KT after a lackluster season with SANDBOX, where the mid laner didn’t manage to exceed expectations together with the rest of his team. For the 2020 LCK Spring Split, SANDBOX finished the split in ninth place with only five wins. The organization added Jakob “YamatoCannon” Mebdi as the new head coach in hopes of better results in summer, but they only improved a little bit by finishing in seventh place.
Dove was replaced by Yoo “FATE” Su-hyeok during the summer split. FATE managed to help SANDBOX pick up a more few crucial wins. Dove hasn’t played an official match since he was replaced, so seeing him back on Summoner’s Rift will be interesting.
KT is looking to field a big lineup for the 2021 LCK season and it’s still unknown who the go-to mid laner will be. To start off the split, it will likely be KT veteran Ucal who gets the playtime but KT will likely experiment throughout the spring split
Dove is expected to debut with KT when the 2021 LCK season kicks off in January.
Who is KT Rolster Dove?
Dove is a 22-year-old mid laner from South Korea. He started his career back in 2017 on I Gaming Star before joining Team BattleComics just a few months later. Together with Team BattleComics, Dove qualified for the LCK during the 2019 Spring Promotion. After qualifying, the team became SANDBOX Gaming. It has since competed in the top Korean league. Dove played his last game for SANDBOX during the 2020 LCK Summer Split, after several poor performances. Dove will now get a new shot at glory under the wings of KT Rolster in 2021.
What is the 2021 KT LCK lineup?
KT Rolster 2021 lineup:
- Top – Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon / Cho “Castle” Hyeon-seong
- Jungle – Kang “Blank” Sun-gu / Lee “Bonnie” Gwang-gu / Kim “GIDEON” Min-seong
