Bloodseeker gets huge buffs after 7.27 rework drops win rate by 20%

Dota 2 update 7.27b delivered loads of changes to heroes, something that not everyone benefited from equally.

Just two days later, update 7.27c has dropped. This delivers desperately needed changes to the heroes that were reworked in 7.27b, as well as changes to some other heroes.

7.27b brought reworks to Razor, Clinkz, and Bloodseeker, and all three heroes saw their win rates either spike or plummet. This resulted in extensive changes in Dota 2 update 7.27c.

Razor and Bloodseeker both saw their win rates plunge as a result of the reworks in 7.27b, with Razor’s winrate dropping about 12% and Bloodseeker’s dropping a full 20% following the patch. Both heroes received multiple buffs in order to address this.

Razor’s stats were increased with boosts to agility gain, intelligence gain, and base speed. Storm Surge’s movement speed boost being increased.

Bloodseeker received even more buffs. Bloodrage’s self-damage debuff was rolled back and its mana cost being reduced, while Thirst’s healing effect was improved. Blood Rite got a boost in damage. Finally, the life steal attack modifier talent was moved from level 20 to level 15.

While Razor and Bloodseeker have been adversely impacted by their reworks, Clinkz turning back the clock to 2017 has paid off in the form of a 14% jump in his winrate. Valve is looking to reel that in a bit with nerfs to Strafe and Death Pact. Searing Arrows also received a modest reduction to its potency at lower levels.

Underlord, Broodmother hit with nerfs in Dota 2 update 7.27c

Broodmother got some big buffs in order to help her rebound from the end of the zoo meta, but she didn’t necessarily need them. Valve addressed this with nerfs to almost every facet of Spawn Spiderlings, weakening the spiders it spawns as well as toning down the talents that can be used to improve the ability.

Underlord also received a number of nerfs, particularly to his ranged spells. Atrophy Aura’s radius was decreased alongside the cast ranges of both Pit of Malice and Firestorm. His level 15 Pit of Malice AOE talent and level 25 Firestorm building damage talents were also tuned down.

Spectre and Chaos Knight received some small changes as well. Spectre’s Desolate passive was weakened, while Chaos Knight’s base damage was lowered.

The full patch notes can be found on the official Dota 2 blog.
