Since the announcement of the tournament, Valorant has been featured in the most viewed categories on Twitch. The success recorded by Riot in League of Legends, which perhaps is the biggest esport on the planet, has given players enough reasons to believe that Valorant can also become a competitive gaming giant.

As the esports scene for Valorant keeps developing at a drastic pace, betting on the game will also become more and more popular. A unique resource containing esports betting tips is available for free on OLBG.com. You will find it useful!

Here is everything you need to know about the tournament.

Participating countries

The countries usually categorized as part of the European region include the following (though they are subject to change in the future): Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom (UK), Vatican City, and Israel*.

Tournament format

Tournaments are organized across Asia, North America, Europe, South America, CIS, and the Middle East. The VALORANT Champions Tournament will feature three levels of competition, vis-à-vis: Challengers, Masters, and Champions.

The first level will focus on regional competition with each region striving to qualify for the next level. The Masters events feature teams representing the best talent from their region. The events are larger and only take place three times a year.

At the apex of the season lies Champions. They are a two-week tournament that will feature the top 16 teams from across the globe, however, with only one team to be crossed the first VALORANT global Champion.

International Masters events

The competition will feature a total of 16 teams from all over the world. They would jostle for prizes and points that will increase their chances of getting qualified for Champions. Additionally, the winning team in the previous Masters event will gain automatic qualification into Champions with an extra team slot for their region. Usually, information as regards point distribution and prizing is shared prior to the start of the tournament.

First international LAN event

It should be noted that Valorant Champions Tour Stage 2 Masters will be the tactical shooter’s first LAN event. The top 10 teams will compete in-person in Reykjavik, Iceland on May 24th. There will be no live audience but it will still be exciting to watch teams compete without lag and other online issues getting in the way of top-tier action.

Bonus or points

The 2021 Course throughout its three stages offered teams the chance to earn points as well as qualify into Champions. Each Masters event is usually followed by an event break to help participating teams prevent burnout while also allowing for recharge.

Schedule

Though no specific date has been announced by Riot yet, however, it can be expected that the regional qualifiers would take place in late October while the main event and the regional finals usually take place in early December.

No blood

It has been discovered that the sight of blood could put off many players, especially in certain regions such as Asia. With this in mind, the tournament organizers and some sponsors have demanded that the “Show Blood” feature be disabled. This will help improve the accessibility of the game – one of the core principles of Riot Games.

How to register

There is the need for players to start preparing their roster earlier if they intend to participate in the regional qualifiers. Riot often releases the rules, policies, and instructions that guide registration procedures. Notwithstanding, players need to be over the age of 16. You can find all the information you require on the info page.

What else do I need to know?

If you would be competing, it is important that you read the official rules for competing in Valorant esports as well as the qualifier-specific rules to avoid being cut out in the early stages.
