New Ruined and Shan Hai Scrolls LoL skin lines revealed
2021 will kick off with two brand new skin lines called Ruined and Shan Hai Scrolls.
This was revealed by Riot very recently in the newest update for the Public Beta Environment. The new Ruined skins include cosmetics for Draven, Karma, and Shyvana. The Shan Hai Scrolls skin line will be a bit bigger, with cosmetics for Cho’Gath, Jhin, Nautilus, and Neeko.

The Ruined skin line has a dark theme that will strike fear into everyone on Summoner’s Rift. Most notable is the Shyvana skin, where her dragon form looks very much like the Elder Dragon. It looks like the skin line might be inspired by the upcoming RPG by Riot Games called Ruined King: A League of Legends Story.
To tone down the spooky and dark vibes from the Ruined skin line are four Shan Hai Scrolls skins. These skins are more Asia-inspired with new in-game effects for each champion. Cho’Gath, Nautilus, and Jhin all have a red and molten look, while Neeko comes with green and bright colors. While it’s still unofficial, it does look like the Shan Hai Scrolls skins could be introduced during this year’s Lunar Event.

What is the PBE?
The Public Beta Environment, also known as the PBE, is a server where Riot tests all changes before they go live on the official servers. On the PBE, players have access to everything without any costs. This means that players can test out new champions, skins, or items to explore the options before making purchases on the live servers. PBE is also a place for Riot to test out new patches and ensure they are both balanced and stable.
