IWillDominate getting tested for COVID-19, experiencing symptoms

League of Legends streamer Christian “IWillDominate” Rivera will be getting tested for the coronavirus.

The Team Liquid content creator told his Twitch followers earlier today that he’s been experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. For him, this includes tiredness, some shortness of breath, diarrhea, and coughing. One symptom he doesn’t have is a fever, which is often the tell-tale sign of having the coronavirus.

“I have to wait two days for the test,” he said. “Hopefully I’m not in worse condition by then.”

The 29-year-old was told by his doctor that if the symptoms do get worse, he should go to the hospital immediately instead of waiting for the test on Wednesday, March 25.

Interestingly enough, some of IWillDominate’s fans were skeptical that Dom truly had coronavirus. They took to the chat to tell him that COVID-19 usually brings about a fever. IWillDominate responded that it’s basically better to be safe than sorry.

“I don’t know if I have corona. You don’t know either. That’s why I need to get tested,” he responded.

He acknowledged that other diseases and illnesses have the same symptoms, but noted that he might be at a higher risk than most people his age during the lockdown.

“I am at a very high risk of having COVID-19 because I traveled in the last two weeks and went through LAX,” he explained.

There have been over 400 cases of the coronavirus recorded in Los Angeles county, where the Los Angeles International Airport is located. International travelers have been asked to self-isolate themselves for two weeks after coming back into America.

IWIllDominate recently held a charity stream to raise funds for coronavirus relief and testing. He collected $7,144 for the cause in a little over five hours.

“What an INSANE charity stream. In just five hours we raised $7,144 dollars for COVID-19 relief. Thanks to everyone who donated especially Kooriboh and BrokenBlade, who donated $2,000 and $750 respectively! So fucking proud of my community right now,” he tweeted. 

Other League of Legends teams and players have made similar efforts over the last few weeks. This includes Sang-hyeok “Faker” Lee, who donated $25,000. Ji-hoon “Chovy” Jeon donated $8,385.68 to Community Chest of Korea, a nonprofit organization that helps victims of the outbreak.
