League of Legends All-Star Event is returning in December

Fans love the League of Legends All-Star Events, and they will not be left wanting in 2019.

Riot Games announced that the 2019 All-Star Event will begin on December 5. The three-day tournament will include a number of festivities including All-Star one-on-one and five vs. five Summoner’s Rift tournaments. There will also be charity events, a TeamFight Tactics tournament, showmatches, and more.

“We’re excited to celebrate an amazing year in League and League esports with fans from around the world,” Riot shared in the announcement. “It’s bound to be full of surprises including a few sneak peeks and spotlights of new League content.”

Fan vote for the 2019 League of Legends All-Star Event 

Approximately 64 League personalities will be participating in the event. Fans will be voting on which pro players will be competing, though Riot will pick another six by their own criteria. Members of the League Partner Program, as well as other popular League and TFT personalities, will also be joining the event.

The voting for the 2019 All-Star invitees will start early in November. Fans will vote for two players from the 2019 competitive season from each region. Fans can vote across all regions. 

The event will take place at the Esports Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Popular pros like Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, and Rasmus “Caps” Borregaard will likely be returning for another All-Star Event this year. In 2018, Caps won the one-on-one tournament by beating Jackson “Pabu” Pavone in the finals. Joedat “Voyboy” Esfahani and Doubellift won the two vs. two charity tournament after a win against Faker’s duo team.

Fans are excited to once again see pros clash in this unique environment.
