Apex Legends players were excited to find out that duos mode, where players team up in pairs, is coming to the game. Players will be able to enjoy the new feature for only a limited time.

Players have long awaited Apex duos

The duos mode will be live in the game starting November 5, developer Respawn Entertainment shared on Twitter. This is the first time this is happening in Apex, as the game has been exclusive to its three-man squads format since its release with the exception of a temporary solos game mode.

There hasn’t been any information shared about how long players will be able to queue for duos, but the usual time limit on these sorts of game modes is two weeks.

Players have been asking for this feature for months, and Respawn is finally giving them what they want. Unsurprisingly, the response to the announcement has been overwhelmingly positive. A number of professional players also shared that they’re excited to try their skills in duos, something that is usually more standard to the battle royale genre and is available in other popular titles like Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

Duos are the latest addition to Apex Legends Season 3

The new game mode is coming quickly, just a month after Apex Legends Season 3 went live and brought a number of new additions to the game.

The new season, named Meltdown, went live on October 1 and added a new map, a new legend, weapon, a battle pass, and more. The new map is called World’s Edge and it has replaced Kings Canyon. World’s Edge is a bit of a larger map separated across three different types of terrain, and it offers Apex players new strategies and tactical opportunities.

Together with the map and the latest playable character Crypto, who can scout out and mark enemies with a drone, Respawn has set the grounds for a lot of new and exciting gameplay to freshen up the game for the new season.
