The Overwatch League offseason is in full swing.

A number of major roster transfers have either been finalized, or are reportedly set to be completed in the near future. Foremost among them is the news that João Pedro “Hydration” Goes Telles has left the Los Angeles Gladiators to join the Houston Outlaws.

Hydration has performed well for the Gladiators, especially in the league’s second season. Los Angeles finished in fifth place after being knocked out of the playoffs by the San Francisco Shock.

The DPS player has been with the Gladiators since the inaugural season, but split during a larger overhaul of the organization.

So far, the team has dropped both head coach Kim “TaiRong” Tae-yeong and assistant coach Kim “Hyunwoo” Hyun-woo. Earlier this week, the team added Harsha “Harsha” Bendi as their new head coach.

Seoul Dynasty reportedly set to acquire Spitfire players Gesture, Profit

Meanwhile, both Jae-hee “Gesture” Hong and Joon-yeong “Profit” Park are rumored to be making a move to the Seoul Dynasty, per ESPN. The roster change would leave the London Spitfire without its main tank, and short a flex DPS. The duo helped the Spitfire win the first ever Overwatch League Grand Finals in New York in 2018.

No other changes have been made to the Dynasty since the off-season started.

The team has long been held up among the best in the game, thanks to their lineup of strong South Korean talent. Unfortunately, Seoul has failed to live up to those expectations. The team fell short of the playoffs in the first season, and washed out of the Season 2 playoffs early.

While the rumors are not confirmed, fans and OWL pros alike have already started chiming in. Though some were surprised by the news, the on-paper strength of a Dynasty roster that boasts both Profit and Gesture has many excited.

Even if things go awry with this transfer, the Dynasty will likely be able to field a strong roster for the 2020 season. They still have the advantage of being the only South Korea-based franchise in the league, with a large portion of OWL talent coming from the country.
