PUBG Europe League schedule and standings explained

The PUBG Europe League has been catching a lot of people's attention lately thanks to the league's Phase 3 matches.

Many esports fans' favorite organizations have PlayerUnknown's Battleground teams that are competing each weekend. Team SoloMid is currently in first place with 321 points, with Natus Vincere in second with 302. TSM is also in first place for eliminations, boasting 204 kills. This is in part due to Michael "Mykle" Wake, who had 18 kills in Week 3.

Third place currently belongs to Team Liquid with 283 points, followed by G2 Esports.

PUBG PEL tournament format

The PEL is currently in Phase 3. This includes six weeks of matches where 16 teams compete to qualify for international tournaments and earn a spot in the PUBG Global Championship in November. There is a $350,000 prize pool.

"It’s not only money on the line in each Phase, but also valuable qualifier slots at global events. These events offer competitors the chance to test their mettle against the very best challengers from around the world in search of bragging rights, prize money, and glory. At the other end of the PEL standings, teams will want to avoid getting dragged into a relegation battle," the official website states.

Phase 3 has 96 matches total, with several taking place each week on Friday to Sunday. The phase concludes with a final "Super Week," where the teams compete Thursday through Sunday. The full schedule can be found on the official PEL website

There were three total phases this season. After each phase, the best PEL teams compete in global, multi-regional events. In April, the best Phase 1 teams from each region came together to compete in the FACEIT Global Summit. Then there was the GLL Grand Slam in July. The PUBG Nations Cup in August was the latest tournament. The PUBG Nations Cup saw 16 regions compete for $500,000.

PUBG PEL concludes with PUBG Global Championship

Phase 3 concludes on October 6. It will be followed by the PUBG Global Championship.

"This is the biggest celebration of PUBG community, competition, and culture on the calendar. The prizes are bigger, the lights are brighter, and the chicken dinner comes with even more confetti," states the PUBG Europe League website, calling it the "most prestigious event in battle royale esports."

Not a lot has been revealed about the PUBG Global Championship in November just yet. The international tournament will have a $2 million prize pool.
