Rogue is currently overhauling its LEC roster for the upcoming summer split, and the latest addition is 17-year-old jungler Kacper “Inspired” Słoma.

Inspired previously played for Ultraliga team Rogue Esports Club, which is the developmental academy-styled team in the Rogue organizational heirarchy. Inspired has impressed in his performance with the team, and with Rouge having such a poor start to its time in the LEC, he has been promoted to the first team in a bid to try and change Rogue’s fortunes.

At just 17 years old, Inspired will become one of the youngest players in the league. In fact, this is the first split he is eligible to play in the LEC as he only turned 17 earlier in the year 2019.

He joined the Rouge organisation in December 2018 and went on to win the Ultraliga title with a developmental roster, but was initially noticed by the wider League of Legends community when he broke into the top 50 ranked players in Challenger at the age of just 15. Inspired also gained some renown for his play with a number of regional Polish teams. Since then he has consistently been one of the best players in the European region’s solo queue ranks, and now has the chance to prove it in the biggest league that Europe has to offer.

“He is the next Polish jungler that people should look out for,” said Rouge general manager Tomislav Mihailov. “He brings all the tools to be a starting LEC jungler. We are confident enough in his ability that we decided to have him as an undisputed starter.”

The jump to the LEC will certainly be a challenge, but it does look like the young player has the potential to become one of the best players in the competition. After Rogue went 2-16 in the spring and wound up at the very bottom of the league, it will be difficult for Inspired and the rest of the new Rogue roster to do any worse.

This should give the young jungler an opportunity to grow into the team and develop his play without overly high expectations.
