North American esports organization Complexity  joined the ranks of fashion-aware members in esports by signing a deal with sportswear brand Champion. The two have joined creative forces and launched a limited edition streetwear capsule collection. The DOMAIN collection is the last one on the long list of fashion-esports partnerships we have witnessed in the past few years.

Esports enters the fashion scene again

Esports, which tend to be incredibly popular for betting on online casino real money sites in India and all over the world, no longer has to fight prejudice about being the meetup spot for freaks and geeks. In fact, esports teams and organizations are as hot and in-demand as fashion influencers and bloggers. It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time Champion teamed up with an esports brand to deliver comfortable, yet stylish pieces.

In the past, the sportswear company also collaborated with G4 TV, Method, HyperX, and plenty of others. All collections were limited-edition, available for a short time only, and became coveted collectors’ items.

COO at Complexity Gaming, Kyle Bautista, revealed they were the first to reach out to Champion with the idea of creating a capsule collection. The main incentive was to design merch that is more than items with the logo printed on them.

“Complexity x Champion reflects the championship-winning mentality of our brand, and that’s something we strive to capture with all of our content, products, and fan culture,” Bautista said.

The organization also accentuated the fact that the collection is not capsule by accident. The main goal was to create items of clothing that emulate all things that matter at Complexity: Competitive spirit, taking charge, and winning no matter what.

The collection is an ensemble of casual and sportswear items, mainly hoodies, and sweatpants in navy blue, with white and sky blue accents. All items are available in limited quantities and are about to sell out quickly if we judge by the previous collections created by the popular leisurewear giant.

Esports teams become fashion trendsetters i  2021

It is no secret that fashion companies have been teaming up with celebrities of all kinds. Celebrity fashion peaked in the early 2000s but proved to be short-lived as the market was overflooded by low-quality kitsch. It seems esports learned a lesson, avoiding making the same mistakes.

As esports went mainstream, fashion companies rather opted for short-term deals, and collections that are limited not only in time, but the number of pieces per collection and their availability, thus creating hype among the eGaming crowd. The valuable esports audience is not only tech-savvy but also willing to spend more than their peers interested in other types of entertainment.

Some of the most notable collaborations include Asos, Gucci, Adidas, and even Ralph Lauren. The industry even launched a special Esports Fashion Week, where designers introduce the audience to hot gaming collections created to be trendy, comfortable, and incredibly functional.
