Sjokz looks for CSGO work, contract with Riot "up for the year"
LEC host Eefje "Sjokz" Depoortere's contract with Riot Games has ended.
Sjokz tweeted that her contract with Riot Games as a host is "up for the year." Due to the year's unusual travel concerns, Sjokz added that her plans for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive "fell through" this year as well.
With both of her gigs up in the air, Sjokz said that she is looking for more CSGO event work going forward or just freelance projects in general.
My contract with Riot is up for the year, and unfortunately most of my CS:GO work for the year fell through due to Covid and planning. I would love to still work on CS events going forward, as well as other projects in any scene as freelancer.— Eefje Depoortere (@sjokz) November 3, 2020

Sjokz looks to host CSGO events, expand beyond LoL
Sjokz boasts a lot of hosting and event experience in the esports industry. She worked with Riot for over five years, mostly over in Europe. In 2018, she transitioned to a freelance role so she could also pursue opportunities outside of League of Legends. During that time, Sjokz hosted a CSGO tournament Belgium, ESL Proximus. Sjokz also hosted multiple BLAST Pro Series tournaments, including Sao Paulo and Los Angeles.
It's currently unclear where Sjokz will be heading next as she continues to expand beyond LoL, but her experience has a lot of people already interested in speaking with her.
Team Liquid COO Mike Milanov quickly responded to her tweet, hinting that he might get in touch with her.

Sjokz also joked that she might leave esports altogether in order to pursue chess after watching Netflix's "Queen's Gambit." This prompted esports fans to beg Sjokz not to leave the community. Sjokz responded that she will still be doing LEC hosting as a freelancer but is looking to take on other projects as well.
Many people are hoping Sjokz will end up hosting more CSGO tournaments, but Sjokz noted that those may not happen for quite some time.
