Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev is the best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player in the world. CSGO isn’t the only game he plays, though.
The Natus Vincere star has been branching out on his Twitch channel lately and one of the games he’s been dabbling in Dota 2. Though his skills in the tactical shooter may or may not actually translate to the MOBA, he has looked pretty darn good in his Dota 2 exploits so far.
s1mple has played a variety of heroes in a number of different roles, ranging from support Pudge to carry Dragon Knight. He performed fairly well in each role and shown a good overall familiarity with the game's competitive intricacies. Given his prowess in CSGO, it's no surprise that he seems to be at his best as a carry in Dota 2. The highlight of his sessions so far being a particularly strong game as Juggernaut where his stellar play led to him dominating the game's net worth charts.
Don’t expect s1mple to switch games entirely and put Na’Vi’s Dota 2 carry Vladislav "Crystallize" Krystanek out of a job, though. s1mple has actually played a number of different games over the last few months, including Riot Games’ new tactical first-person shooter Valorant and new battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone. He hasn’t made any surprise announcements that he’s leaving CSGO for either of those games, so don’t expect him to be going pro in Dota 2 anytime soon either.
As if there was any doubt over this, s1mple went right back to CSGO after a few games to practice his aim. Imagine what his Pudge could be like with that kind of practice.
