WeSave! Charity Play boasts a surprisingly strong lineup of teams including Team Secret, Evil Geniuses, Nigma, and Vici Gaming.

OG is also competing at the event, and many fans were excited to see the star-studded roster compete. Unfortunately, the full team won’t be able to make it to the server with OG mid laner Topias Miikka “Topson” Taavitsainen and off laner Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng sitting out of the action.

That has OG getting a little bit creative with how they’re approaching WeSave! Charity Play. As a result, OG will play with the following lineup for the charity tournament:

  1. Omar Mohammad “Madara” Dabachach
  2. Johan “N0tail” Sundstein
  3. Sébastien “Ceb” Debs
  4. Martin “Saksa” Sazdov
  5. Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan

And no, those players aren’t out of order.

SumaiL will be playing as OG’s hard support player at WeSave! Charity Play instead of replacing Topson in the mid lane. That’s a somewhat baffling move, given the fact that he is one of the most individually skilled and competitively successful mid laners in Dota 2 history, winning a number of notable tournaments with Evil Geniuses.

Instead, N0tail will be playing in the mid lane. The two-time The International champion has played everywhere on the map during his long MOBA career, but won his two TI titles as a support. Though he is an accomplished mid laner having won the 2015 Frankfurt Major and 2016 Manila Major from the mid lane, he still hasn’t played the position in several years.

Madara and Ceb slide into OG roster for coronavirus charity event

Filling in for SumaiL in the carry position is Madara. The Greek player is best known for being part of the Ad Finem team that nearly won the 2016 Boston Major. He has struggled to find success in the years since, but has gained some momentum over recent months with OG sister team OG.Seed.

Finally, Ceb is coming out of retirement in order to return to the offlane. Ceb was among the numerous players on OG’s two-time championship team that left the competitive end of the game following their victory at The International 2019. Ceb has still been a front-facing part of the organization in the months since, appearing at events hosted by OG and traveling with the OG Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team.

WeSave! Charity Play is currently underway, but the European division has not yet started. OG will enter the fray on March 21 with a showdown against Team Liquid.
