Beyond The Summit has announced the talent lineup for the upcoming MDL Chengdu Major. The list includes familiar faces for Dota 2 fans, such as David "LD" Gorman, Jorien "Sheever" van der Heijden, and Owen "ODPixel" Davies.

The MDL Chengdu Major is the first major of the 2019-2020 Dota Pro Circuit season and it will see 16 of the best teams in the world competing for the title, as well as qualifying points towards The International 2020. The strong list of teams will be complemented by a similarly strong roster of broadcast talent.

The MDL Chengdu Major's English commentary will be handled by Beyond the Summit, and will see many of The International 2019’s analysts, commentators, and hosts participate in the event. Though there are some notable omissions such as Paul "Redeye" Chaloner and Dakota "KotLGuy" Cox, most of these faces and voices should be recognizable for Dota 2 fans.

While there are very few surprises here, one name that catches the eye is LD. The Beyond the Summit co-founder was a staple of top Dota 2 tournaments from 2012 to 2017 and made some of the most memorable calls in the game's history during that time.

Though he has appeared in the background of several events, he has not officially casted since the Dota Summit 8 minor in 2017.
