Pain Gaming is bringing on a new coach in their quest for the Aegis of Champions.
Rasmus "MISERY" Filipsen has been enlisted as the coach of Pain Gaming for their approaching run at The International. The move reunites him with former Digital Chaos teammate Aliwi "w33" Omar.
Pain Gaming announced MISERY’s addition to the team on Twitter.
The video highlighted MISERY’s notable achievements in the Dota 2 scene. These include his participation in six minors, 13 majors, and six editions of The International.
MISERY played with Evil Geniuses earlier in the year but failed to catch on with the team. The American side had sparse success in their Dota Pro Circuit journey. MISERY’s ensuing departure from EG came shortly after an early elimination at ESL One Birmingham.
MISERY previously played for BlinkPool and aspired to take the lone slot in the EU Qualifier for TI, but the team came up short.
His addition to Brazil’s Pain Gaming keeps his TI journey alive for another year. The veteran player has proven versatility, having played all positions during Valve events. From being a carry to his more recent role as a support, MISERY knows the game from front to back.
He is also renowned for once being the only player who attended every Dota 2 tournament sponsored by Valve. The streak broke after a failed campaign at The International 2017 with his former team Planet Odd.
