Valorant China launches with exclusive melee and replay system
Valorant is finally coming to China, Riot has confirmed. But that’s not all: Valorant China will have exclusive features the player base has been asking for months.
Valorant was released globally in 2020, but it was only in 2022 that the Chinese government’s National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) greenlit Valorant to be published nationwide. Since then, players have eagerly waited for it to release, and now Riot has confirmed the release during the Valorant China Press Conference.
Valorant may be coming to China after three whole years, but the features it offers are better than anything available in the rest of the world, according to the fan base.
Valorant China has a replay feature
Players have been pestering Riot for a long time to add a much-needed reply system. Currently, third-party softwares are the only way to record highlight-worthy plays in Valorant, and an official reply system isn’t coming anytime soon either.
However, Chinese players would be able to enjoy a built-in recording feature upon release.
It works similarly to clipping softwares, but it’s officially available within the game. The replay system will be called Fearless Moment, and the recorded videos will be ready to upload immediately. This feature would be exclusive to Valorant China.
Fearless Moment isn’t the only exclusive feature. Valorant in China will be released with a Fire Blade melee, which will only be available within China.
Besides this, players could purchase all previous bundles, including time-limited items like Arcane. This announcement has tempted players to switch over to the Chinese region, but unfortunately, Valorant China is locked.
In order to enter the Chinese servers, players would need a Chinese national ID and contact number as well, data miners claim.
Valorant China release date
Valorant China will be released on 12 July with 16 agents and four maps. The rest of the content would be added with time in new patches.
