IShowSpeed is getting his own anime series — here’s what we know
Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins is arguably YouTube’s biggest and most recognized streamer, and he is now expanding his brand with an anime series.
IShowSpeed is known for his energetic streaming style and IRL content, where he visits various countries and interacts with fans. The content creator became the
most subscribed streamer
in the world in 2025 and was also crowned
Streamer of the Year
at The Streamer Awards 2025. The American’s success is showing no signs of slowing down, though, and he will soon becoming to your screens in the form of anime.
What we know about IShowSpeed’s anime series
Details about the anime series are sparse, but it’s been reported that it’s built around IShowSpeed and will also be voiced by the streamer himself.
IShowSpeed’s anime series will be
produced by Big Shot Pictures and Matt Owens, who is also tasked with its writing. It’s important to note that the series is touted to be “anime-styled” rather than traditional Japanese anime. What differences it will have remains to be seen, but it is clear that the streamer will be seen in an animated form, with visuals and narrative inspired by traditional anime.
This will allow IShowSpeed’s fans to see his personality and gives them a glimpse into another side of streamer’s memorable persona. The series will also expand Speed’s brand by turning the influencer into an animation and increase his growing popularity further around the world —IShowSpeed’s net worth
has grown astronomically in recent years.

The producers appear to have high hopes for the project and have stated that Speed is a streamer who crosses both boundaries and platforms. No details about the plot or release date have been revealed yet. However, IShowSpeed will be portraying himself, which means
viewers will be able to see his signature high-energy in animated form. The series is likely in the concept stage and will take time to develop, but further announcements are expected in due course.
IShowSpeed is a brand that’s more than streaming
IShowSpeed isn’t just a streamer. He is a musician, has collaborated with athletes and brands, and is now pivoting into more mainstream media.
One thing that sets IShowSpeed apart from many other streamers is that he is unpredictable, but in a way that is memorable. He brings deliberate chaos in his broadcasts, but tries to showcase various cultures in his IRL streams, which has garnered him global reach. This is also one of the main reasons why
he typically isn’t involved in controversies
and is well-liked by most colleagues.
IShowSpeed’s IRL tour streams are among his most-watched and popular broadcasts as he learns about other countries while educating his viewers in his own inimitable way. This content style has allowed him to collaborate with other influencers, though this anime series will be his first standalone project.
Anime is a niche that has already been explored by other popular streamers —
Kai Cenat recently stated
that watching it had been beneficial to his mental health.
