ZZZ version 1.6: Find out its release date, banners, and content
Zenless Zone Zero version 1.5 is proving to be a hit but the gacha game grind continues on, with fans excited for ZZZ version 1.6’s release date.
Though some patches in Zenless Zone Zero pan out as a nothing burger beyond the banners, ZZZ 1.5 has had a lot to offer fans. The Lunar New Year-themed events offer great rewards including a new skin for Nicole and a heaping helping of Polychromes. At the macro level are quality-of-life improvements and UI changes.
While HoYoverse did a lot to keep fans engaged for a relatively light patch, the company has fans salivating for version 1.6. While it’s unclear what, exactly, the patch will bring, its new banners have fans clamoring for a release date. Here’s what we know, and how long players have to pull for Evelyn.
ZZZ patch 1.6 release date
ZZZ’s 1.6 update will arrive on March 12, 2025.
While Zenless Zone Zero’s 1.5 update isn’t the biggest one, it’s being given a longer-than-average run. Previously, characters usually had roughly a two-week run as limited S-rank banners. That changed in version 1.4 with the long-awaited release of Miyabi and surprise free-to-play character Harumasa both available throughout the duration of the patch.
Astra Yao and Evelyn are the limited S-rank characters of Zenless Zone Zero version 1.5. They are not simultaneously available for the duration of the patch, but Astra Yao is getting a three-week run and Evelyn will also be available for longer than the typical 14 or 15 days. As for what version 1.6 brings, it’s not entirely certain. However, fans do know both the upcoming limited-time characters as well as some of the in-game events that will appear during the event.
Zenless Zone Zero 1.6 content, in-game events, and character banners
ZZZ players will be able to pull for Silver Soldier Anby, Trigger, and Pulchra after the release of version 1.6.
Silver Soldier Anby and Trigger are set to be the limited-time S-rank characters available during the patch. Both characters are electric, but Silver Soldier Anby is an attacker while Trigger is a stunner.
Alongside them is Pulchra, an A-rank physical stunner. Pulchra appeared as a mini-boss in version 1.2 but will finally add a second A-rank stunner option to Zenless Zone Zero. Leakers have found evidence that she will be offered to players for free as a reward for an event during version 1.6. She may also be featured on Anby or Trigger’s banners as an A-rank character. It’s also likely that Pulchra and her signature W-Engine will become permanent additions to the permanent banner.
Players can also look forward to re-run banners during the update. These arrived in version 1.5 with Ellen and Qingyi returning to the game for the first time since versions 1.0 and 1.1, respectively.
As for what’s coming, leakers and data miners have discovered that ZZZ version 1.6 will bring new story content. This will likely be a significant chapter for the story, as version 1.4 brought together the full cast and closed much of the standing plotlines. As part of this, a new boss is set to be added to the game.

As for the story itself, odds are it will focus on the OBOL Squad. The group has long been exclusively represented by Soldier 11. Delving into what the group does, how they differ from other groups like Public Security and Hollow Special Operations, and their history with Anby are all fertile territory. Fans can only wait until ZZZ version 1.6’s arrival before finding out for sure, though.
