xQc calls out Stewie2K for skin scam amid claims against CS2 pro
xQc calls out Stewie2K for skin scam amid claims against CS2 pro
Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip is embroiled in controversy after he was accused of participating in a skin scam, and now top Kick streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel has also come forward with accusations against the CS2 pro.
Stewie2K is a Counter-Strike veteran with numerous accomplishments to his name, most notably including a CS Major trophy won with Cloud9. The player has more recently gone on to become a content creator, transitioning away from competitive play. Stewie2K returned to CS2 play as a stand-in for Wildcard during the PGL Astana regional in 2025. His run there wasn’t successful, but Stewie2K is now facing an entirely different type of heat after being accused of participating in a skin scam.
What is Stewie2K accused of?
A CS2 skins trader initially accused Stewie2K of reneging on a transaction and not refunding the money involved, and xQc has now weighed in, accusing the Counter-Strike pro of scamming him.
MitaoCatCS publicly called out Stewie2K for allegedly backing out of a trade without returning the money or skins involved. He elaborated that he had sent funds to Stewie2K as an advance for several high-value CS2 items. The skins included a Karambit Case Hardened (FN), Butterfly Doppler (Phase 1), and Vice Gloves (WW). The trader claimed he was waiting for the trade hold period to end so he could get the skins, but the transfer never actually took place. MitaoCatCS alleges that Stewie2K backed out of the deal.
The CS2 pro, who has previously been involved in
issues
surrounding CS skins, blamed “technical issues” and claimed that the transaction had been “automatically canceled by bots,” but others including xQc began chip in to say that they had also been scammed by Stewie.

Stewie2K initially sought to defend himself by sharing a screenshot of a
Steam trade
log to prove that the transaction was canceled. But the CS2 pro has been accused of doctoring the screenshot after some inconsistencies in the supposed evidence were noticed. Stewie2K then discussed the allegations in a stream, claiming that the transaction was intended as more of a loan rather than a trade. The CS2 pro offered that the arrangement had been extended to “a month and a half” rather than an immediate turnaround. Stewie2K elaborated that the two had seemingly reached an accord and wasn’t sure why Mitao was publicly calling him out, but this has done little stop discussion of the apparent skin scam from spreading.
A big part of the incident gaining traction is Kick streamer xQc jumping into the fray. xQc is among those who have made clear that they too were involved in apparent scams involving Stewie2K. xQc discussed Stewie2K’s fraud allegations in a stream and revealed that he had loaned the CS2 pro some very expensive skins in the past, and that that not all the skins were ever returned by Stewie2K.
xQc opted against making the issue public at the time, a choice perhaps made easier given just how high
his streaming earnings
have been. But after seeing this latest allegation gain traction, he saw fit to chip in with his own experience. At this point, it’s hard to imagine Stewie2K coming up with sufficient excuses to justify the skin scam claims that are being made against him.
