xQc becomes latest Kick streamer to hit 1 million followers

Popular streamer Felix “xQc” Lengyel has added yet another feather to his growing list of accomplishments by crossing the 1 million followers threshold on livestreaming platform Kick.
xQc is a hugely popular streamer whose current brand of content revolves primarily around reaction and gambling streaming. The content creator made the move to Kick when Twitch began to tighten gambling rules, and it seems to have been one of his best decisions to date. He could continue streaming his gambling content while also receiving what was a reported Kick contract worth up to $100 million between base compensation and incentives.
xQc has now set a new record for himself and proved his value to the platform by becoming the second English-speaking streamer to gather more than 1 million followers on Kick.
xQc is one of three Kick streamers with more than 1 million followers
Luis “WestCol” Villa, Adin Ross, and xQc are the only three Kick streamers who boast more than 1 million followers on the platform, with WestCol being significantly ahead of the two English-speaking streamers.
Colombian content creator WestCol is most famous for his Stream Fighters events, which have helped him set the record among Kick streamers for the most concurrent viewers. His popularity is so great that he now has more than 3 million followers on amassed Kick. Adin Ross and xQc’s combined follower counts still can’t reach WestCol’s sole following, to put into context just how impressive his fan following is.

Adin Ross has roughly 1.85 million followers on Kick, and the top casino streamer was the first English-speaking streamer to hit the milestone. Despite that accomplishment, he is significantly behind WestCol, and from the looks of it, it doesn’t seem like he’ll get close to the Colombian streamer any time soon.
The newest entrant to the million-followers club, xQc, is just over the threshold.
While there was much discussion about the massive price associated with xQc’s contract when he made the move to Kick, it’s hard to argue against the results. xQc’s net worth vaulted upwards with the deal, and for Kick, they’ve received a significant amount of exposure that they just wouldn’t have otherwise been able to pull without a streamer of his notoriety joining the fold.
Kick is significantly newer compared to competitors like Twitch, so its streamers reaching such high numbers of followers is all the more impressive. The Stake-backed platform may be a better source of income for streamers, but that is an incentive for content creators, not viewers. This is why more viewers joining the platform shows that both the content creators and Kick are doing good work in spreading their reach. Kick is also the best platform for casino streaming, so many streamers and audiences within that niche prefer the platform over rivals.

Khizar Mundia has been playing video games for as long as he can recall. Things have come a long way since the many days he spent playing the original NES, though. He now covers a variety of competitive games and esports, as well as the world of streaming, ranging from Twitch to Kick. If it’s of interest to gamers, it’s of interest to Khizar.
