Sykkuno return

There seems to be a new drama in the streaming scene every other day, and this time it’s Felix “xQc” Lengyel and Imane “Pokimane” Anys feuding because of the allegations leveled against Sykkuno.

The streaming industry thrives on constant drama and controversies, as these elements are a good way to farm engagement and increase popularity. While some feuds are light-hearted, others are more serious. The allegations against American streamer Thomas “Sykkuno” definitely fall into the latter category and they have taken the community by storm. Pokimane addressed the allegations, which didn’t sit right with xQc, igniting drama between the two.

What are the allegations against Sykkuno?

Sykkuno has been accused of being a serial cheater and manipulator by multiple parties. These claims remain unverified and were initially shared by vtuber HemomalVT. The vtuber alleged that Sykkuno is a “serial cheater, master manipulator, and dangerous predator”.

Streamer Leia then shared her interaction with Sykkuno, when the two had to share a room, claiming it was “uncomfortable”. More people came forward with allegations of their own, effectively bringing the usually soft-spoken Sykkuno into a negative light.

The allegations haven’t been substantiated with proof, but viewers and other streamers have already started taking sides. Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, for instance, who has collaborated with Sykkuno on multiple occasions, expressed her disappointment and stated she has talked to him. Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang, another frequent collaborator, stated he found the situation messed up, but accused Sykkuno’s friends of clout-chasing by throwing him under the bus.

What started xQc and Pokimane’s drama?

Pokimane discussed the Sykkuno allegations and referred to the parties involved as “victims”. xQc didn’t agree with the label and asked Pokimane to elaborate, “on victims of what?” Pokimane responded to this, saying, “You realize people can be victims of cheating, right?” xQc fueled the drama further by discussing the comment in a livestream.

xQc challenged Pokimane’s usage of “victims,” claiming there would only be one victim in this instance. During this same time, Pokimane had made another comment in reply to an X user, claiming that Sykkuno was talking to more than one girl, and everyone is “fighting over semantics”. xQc responded to this in the broadcast as well, stating that this isn’t semantics, and that talking to someone while in a relationship doesn’t make everyone a victim.

This isn’t the first drama involving xQc and Pokimane

xQc and Pokimane have clashed multiple times before, with one of their most prominent disputes being related to gambling. It’s not a hidden fact that xQc is one of the top gambling streamers, and his content involves casino streaming. Pokimane had previously made comments about how streaming is now about drama and clip farming. This started beef between her and xQc, with the latter going on to say that she is part of the clip-farming culture. xQc said he plays GTA during the day and slots during the night, but everyone, including Pokimane, farmed him for views.

Pokimane and xQc also went back and forth because of their respective Kick and Twitch contracts. The drama started when Pokimane expressed doubts about xQc’s Kick contract being worth $100 million. xQc fired back and asked Pokimane to leak her own contract, claiming his contract was between Kick co-founders and him, so she couldn’t have heard anything.

This Sykkuno episode is just the latest installment in the long-running feud between the two streamers thought is unlikely to be the last.
