Wolves Esports of PUBG Mobile

Wolves Esports won the 2026 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) Season 2 to qualify for the upcoming 2026 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC).

PUBG is one of the few games that has two successful competitive gaming scenes. The first is the base PUBG, while the second is PUBG Mobile. It isn’t a stretch to say that PUBG Mobile’s competitive scene is larger, primarily because of how accessible it is. With so many tournaments constantly ongoing, every team aims to qualify for and win the annual PUBG Mobile Global Championship.

As the Global Championship edges closer, another team has managed to qualify for the tournament by beating multiple other teams in the 2026 PUBG Mobile Global Open Season 2.

2026 PUBG Mobile Global Open Season 2 ends with a bang

2026 PUBG Mobile Global Open Season 2 successfully concluded, with Wolves Esports taking home the win.

This was the first time that PUBG Mobile added a second Global Open tournament, giving more professional players and teams a way to show their skills. In particular, Season 2’s regional qualifiers took place globally, and the grand final broke the record for the highest peak concurrent viewers in PMGO history.

Everything started with 32 teams taking to the global stage in Lahore, Pakistan. While most esports fans, such as those who watch League of Legends or Valorant, likely can’t imagine Pakistan being the home ground for a large-scale tournament such as this, this just showcases PUBG Mobile’s global reach. The many PUBG Mobile betting sites also establish the game’s popularity.

The team to win it all was Wolves Esports. It established itself as a powerhouse from the start. It came first in its respective group in the Group Stage and played solidly in every other match. While no one from the team got the Grand Finals MVP, as ALA of 4K Esports earned that, Wolves claimed an impressive 8-elimination Chicken Dinner that gave it the Champions title. Wolves also won the top prize of $60,000 and 150 PMGC Points.

Other notable awards included AK Gold Esports’ Satar receiving the Best In-Game Leader title, SkY from Horaa Esports being named Eagle Eye, Alpha7’s Carrilho getting Grenade Master, and Zeta from Bigetron by Vitality taking home the title of Field Medic.

Currently, three teams have yet to qualify to fill PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2026’s team roster. The tournament itself will start in a little more than a month. It’ll take place in Istanbul this year. The PUBG Mobile odds will likely favor some of the most popular teams. But the global popularity means that fans worldwide will tune in to root for their country’s teams.
