Those who didn’t know her from her academic accomplishments and travel posts on Instagram, knew her from her published work. Thea is the author behind young adult and sci-fi novel “The Market Children”. The story follows mysterious disappearances of kids around the globe, all of whom shared a black mark on their arm.

Since meeting MrBeast, Thea has started to focus more on her digital journey, launching a channel named “TheaBeasty,” where she now has over 100,000 subscribers. There, she posts videos of herself trying new games, and even partaking in Roblox tournaments and events. Thea’s TikTok channel “Made By Human” has also been a massive success, gaining 5.7 million likes across her psychology-based videos.

Thea also describes herself as an “esports caster,” suggesting that her interest in gaming has been a long-standing passion, not just something that came with her relationship. While Thea was strictly an author and an influencer before meeting MrBeast, she appears to have moved into content creation category as of late, making them the ultimate power couple.

It appears, Thea will continue to pursue content creation, as she had been posting actively on X about wanting to stream more games, and experimenting with psychology-based videos.

How did MrBeast meet Thea Booysen?

MrBeast and Thea Booysen met at a club in South Africa when MrBeast was traveling for a video with Logan Paul. The two hit it off right away, resulting in several other dates, before they made it official on Instagram in 2022.

MrBeast revealed on Josh Peck’s podcast that he absolutely hated going to clubs, but Logan Paul had dragged him to one when the duo was travelling. That’s where he met Thea Booysen, and sparks flew. In a separate interview, Thea Booysen revealed that MrBeast had a list of questions prepared for her since he was looking for a potential partner at the time.

MrBeast confirmed having a checklist on the FLAGRANT podcast. The creator said he put Thea through a “wringer,” because it was important for him that the woman he was with had hobbies and interest.

“I don’t really get along with women if, like, they don’t love learning, they’re not obsessive, they don’t have a hobby. There’s just certain things where if you have these traits we get along really well and if you don’t it’s impossible for us to hang out,” he said.

Luckily for him, Thea’s two degrees and interest in neuroscience were enough to impress the biggest creator in the world. The meeting resulted in MrBeast connecting with Thea through Twitter DMs, and eventually taking another trip to South Africa to see her.

In 2024, MrBeast faced several accusations including workplace misconduct and unsafe filming conditions on Beast Games that led to a class-action lawsuit, the Lunchly product being found contaminated with mold, and his long-time collaborator Ava Kris Tyson being accused of inappropriate online conduct with a minor.

MrBeast and Thea Booysen have been engaged for more than two years now, which means wedding bells should be soon, and traders on Kalshi seem to agree.

The market “Will MrBeast and Thea Booysen be married this year?” is sitting at 70% Yes, up 13.5 points, with Yes trading at $0.74 and No at $0.30 on roughly $16,366 in volume.

The chart shows a clear directional move. Yes opened around 45% back in February 2026, hovered in the high 50s through March, and has been grinding higher ever since punching above 70% multiple times in May.

The resolution criteria matter. Per Kalshi’s rules, the market resolves Yes if MrBeast and Thea Booysen are married before January 1, 2027, confirmed by official marriage registries, the couple, or major outlets.
