Will Jack Doherty Be Back On X Anytime Soon?

Controversial streamer Jack Doherty has been the talk of social media in the last week after announcing that he had signed a contract that prohibits him from posting online. Since then, fans have started speculating about when he will return, and prediction markets have also seen trading about whether Jack Doherty will stay away from social media until the end of his contractual obligation.
Jack Doherty is one of the most infamous streamers in the industry, and he has done everything from trying to fight other streamers or even viewers on livestreams, to crashing a McLaren, which led to Kick permanently banning him. The streamer has since returned to Kick, but his antics have continued, which has led to him being trolled and criticized widely. He recently revealed that he had signed a contract without reading it, and part of the conditions say he must remain away from social media for six months.
Jack Doherty’s Shuffle deal has a term that could keep him away from X for six months
There is significant context behind Jack Doherty’s deal with crypto casino Shuffle and the contract that he claims he had not read fully. The streamer asked whether he should livestream trade meme coins on Kick, and Shuffle replied, saying it would pay Jack to stop talking. Doherty then made another post on October 7, stating that his $JACK meme coin wasn’t doing well and he was looking for sponsors. Shuffle replied again, stating that its offer is legitimate.
Just a few days later, Jack returned, claiming that he had signed a Shuffle contract without reading the terms and he was prohibited from posting online. The streamer said he was working with a lawyer to work out the issues so he could return. Shuffle co-founder Noah Dummett confirmed that Jack Doherty was contractually obligated not to post online for six months, calling the deal “money well spent”.
The entire contract, deal amount, start date, and other details haven’t been made public, with Jack and Noah only sharing bits in X posts. It’s also unclear how large the scope of the contract is and whether Doherty is also barred from livestreaming. It’s important to note that Doherty’s YouTube channel is continuing to upload Shorts, and some of the clips have even made their way on X.
Polymarket traders think Jack Doherty will have to complete six months to return to X
Doherty’s drama has not just been confined to X, with prediction market traders also making their opinions known. The Polymarket prediction market is straightforward, with two contracts on the current debacle. The first contract is for the streamer posting on X by October 31, 2026, and the second is for the streamer posting on X by April 30, 2027. Traders aren’t optimistic about Jack returning later this month, as the October cutoff date has a 52% chance, while the April one is at a massive 95% implied probability.

However, the October contract is selling Yes for 58 cents and No for 54 cents at the time of writing. The April contract is selling Yes for 97.7 cents and No for 6.9 cents. The difference between the Yes contracts is due to the sentiment in the market about whether Jack Doherty will be able to get the contract term voided. The No difference is more straightforward, as the market assumed that April 30 is when the contract will have ended, which is why its No contract has a much larger return.
☑️ My Analysis
His lawyer is yet to issue a statement, but I believe is that if the contract is upheld, then Doherty will need to stay away from social media completely until the cut-off date. The prediction market is also seemingly showing a similar sentiment, with it giving a massive contrast between the possibility of Doherty posting on X before his contract ends and the cut-off date. Regardless of what happens, ironically, it’s likely that fans will find out through X.
