Sam Pepper Kick ban

Kick has banned streamer and content creator Samuel “Sam Pepper” Nicholas Pepper, and the reason why has many in shock.

Sam Pepper is a popular streamer, but he’s also quite infamous for the occasionally controversial nature of his content. He first came into the limelight by appearing on the UK version of hit reality show Big Brother in 2010. The streamer then created a YouTube channel and began making prank videos that quickly led to a surge in popularity, though he also received some criticism for some of his pranks.

The content creator has also been in controversy for allegations related to harassment and a potential cryptocurrency scam. But his latest incident surprised even those already familiar with his history.

Why was Sam Pepper banned from Kick?

Sam Pepper was banned from Kick after he ignited fireworks that then seemingly struck an adolescent live on stream.

Sam’s Kick ban followed an incident during which he appeared to hit a girl with fireworks while streaming live in India. Viewers quickly shared the video, criticizing him for the seeming reckless act. On stream, Sam actually appeared to celebrate the incident, yelling “head shot” after launching the fireworks.

A bystander was then seen confronting Sam, claiming that the streamer had hit a girl in the eye with his fireworks. Sam immediately refuted the accusation. Many viewers called out Sam for his apparent lack of empathy and deflection rather than taking accountability for his actions.

Sam later took to X to confirm the reason for his ban after his Kick channel was suspended, and after receiving continued backlash from viewers. He expressed his regret at having apparently hurt someone but claimed that “it was just a cut,” despite concerns from some onlookers that it might have been more serious. The content creator claimed that fireworks were being launched back and forth, attempting to deflect some of the blame for the incident.

Sam has reportedly left India since and returned home following the ordeal. Many online weren’t impressed by the streamer apparently downplaying what had happened, with some even calling for his permanent ban from the platform.

Sam and Kick haven’t confirmed how long the streamer will be banned, though speculation points at it being a three-day ban. Some have compared Sam’s actions with those of Amaris “Xenathewitch” Xena, who was banned on Kick and later arrested after apparently hitting a bystander with a paintball during a live scavenger hunt stream.

UPDATE: According to Sam Pepper himself, his ban from Kick may in fact be permanent. The content creator indicated as much while discussing the suspension online.
