Who Is SukiiMellow and Why Was She Banned From Twitch?

SukiiMellow is known for her collaborations with popular American streamer Kanel Joseph, and she has just been unexpectedly banned from Twitch. Here’s everything we know about SukiiMellow and why the streaming platform banned her.
Streamer University 2026 had several talented streamers who participated as students, and the event helped many set records during its duration. SukiiMellow was one such creator, and she is closely associated with popular streamer Kanel Joseph. However, despite having a successful summer, SukiiMellow has been in trouble with Twitch during August, being banned for the second time this month — here’s what we know.
Why Twitch banned SukiiMellow
Twitch is notorious for not revealing why it took action against streamers or channels, and this habit hasn’t changed with SukiiMellow’s ban. SukiiMellow also hasn’t released a statement or revealed why Twitch suspended her channel.
However, that’s not to say that the reason for her ban is completely unknown. Kanel Joseph recently discussed SukiiMellow’s Twitch ban, claiming the streamer was suspended for showing an individual on her stream who hadn’t consented to being filmed. Joseph talked about the alleged reason lightly, saying “Twitch be playing.” He also shared that he was trying to get SukiiMellow to stream on alternative platform Kick until her ban is lifted.
SukiiMellow has since gone live on Kick, with Kanel Joseph even appearing on her stream. She hasn’t revealed whether she will continue streaming on Kick when Twitch reinstates her channel, or if it’s a temporary thing.

Viewers were quick to react to the news, with someone joking that Kanel is acting like SukiiMellow’s spokesperson. This was due to Kanel being the one to reveal the reasons and also because he was supporting SukiiMellow for seemingly filming someone who didn’t consent. Many viewers commended Twitch for its swift action, stating that people who don’t consent shouldn’t be shown in streams.
For reference, SukiiMellow and Kanel Joseph were previously in a relationship, and some viewers speculated this may be why the streamer was so critical of her ban. SukiiMellow revealed in Jason “JasonTheWeen” Nguyen’s Last to Leave challenge recently that she and Kanel had apparently broken up because of differing priorities. She stated that there was no animosity between the two and that their relationship didn’t work out because Kanel was busy with his business.
Regardless of why Kanel is supporting SukiiMellow, this isn’t the streamer’s first Twitch ban. She was banned in early August, allegedly for pranking someone with Apple Pay. Reports indicate that SukiiMellow played an Apple Pay notification sound near an elderly woman, who was frightened and called the police. The woman asked SukiiMellow to show her phone, but the streamer and her cameraman walked away laughing. While it isn’t confirmed that this is the reason for the streamer’s previous ban, many viewers speculated this was likely the questionable action that led to the 16-hour suspension.
Who is SukiiMellow?
SukiiMellow is a streamer based in Del Valle, Texas, who began her career in August 2024. The streamer’s content revolves around Just Chatting and IRL streams, with Minecraft, Fortnite, and other games sprinkled in occasionally. She built her persona around being an anime girl, using a high-pitched voice and throwing out occasional Japanese phrases. Kanel Joseph, SukiiMellow’s ex-boyfriend, has been a regular part of her content, with the two being seen together in streams frequently.
SukiiMellow’s breakout moment was when she was accepted into Streamer University 2026. The event was known for its drama and controversy, and SukiiMellow also stuck to tradition, especially when she referred to Kai Cenat as “master”. Despite this, she set a peak concurrent viewership record of 15,302 in July 2026 and has maintained a consistent audience despite Streamer University having ended. Her move to Kick, even if temporary, could extend her reach even further.
