Vitality’s 2025 has been an exceptional one, but no dominant streak is complete without a major victory. Right now, the team is on the 2019 Team Liquid level, but it has the chance to start knocking on Astralis’ door for all-timer status. A win over Legacy would be the best way to start that run.

The team has won six straight tournaments including IEM Katowice 2025. It’s on a 30-match winning streak where it doesn’t just win, it scarcely gives up maps. Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut is one of the top-rated players in the world, but every player on Vitality has been performing in their role at a high level.

Legacy would’ve needed an introduction a couple of weeks ago. That’s not the case anymore.

The Brazilian team was a late addition to the BLAST Austin Major, taking the spot of Bestia. While it experienced some blowback from fans for this, it has made the most of that opportunity in the group stage, getting through Stage 1 with a 3-2 record then sprinting through Stage 2 with a 3-0 run. Legacy’s performance has been just generally strong to this point, with AWPer Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer standing out in particular.

The young team is performing at a high level, but it’s unclear whether “high level” is enough to get past Vitality.
