The Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski era of GamerLegion has begun, and while sportsbooks aren’t giving them much of a chance versus the tournament favorite at BLAST Bounty Winter 2026, there’s some betting intrigue heading into this match-up versus Team Vitality.

Top pick Over 2.5 maps
Betting favorite Team Vitality

Team Vitality shut up the doubters by winning the StarLadder Budapest Major in December. That championship victory went a long way towards proving that the team still remains the best in the world, even if it wasn’t quite as unstoppable as it was in early 2025. But there are some big questions about the team’s current state heading into the new 2026 season, questions that GamerLegion will try to pose and our predictions will try to answer.

Team Vitality vs GamerLegion match overview

CS2 betting tip: GL could give Vitality a run for its money, but the world’s top-ranked CS2 team should pull through by the end of the series.

My Team Vitality vs GamerLegion pick: Vitality wins 2-1 at 4.0 at GG.BET.

Team Vitality vs GamerLegion in-depth team, match analysis

Team Vitality is once again sitting atop the Counter-Strike 2 esports scene, but will they be able to stay there through the 2026 season as they did in 2025?

That might seem like a rhetorical question to many fans, but it really isn’t. Fans got a taste of that after the last player break, where Vitality won the BLAST Austin Major and quickly fell back to earth. Vitality was still unquestionably an elite team, but found itself susceptible to high-end opponents. The likes of MOUZ, The MongolZ, and Team Falcons could suddenly beat Vitality, though that was about it.

Is GamerLegion on that level? There’s some cause for optimism for bettors looking for an underdog opportunity. The team is 6-1 since adding Snax, and while it didn’t face the cream of the crop in those matches, it’s taken wins over solid opponents in M80, Passion.UA, and Aurora Gaming. Sandwiched in there is a disappointing loss to NRG, but the results are overall strong.

Still, the sample size is far too small to buy into GamerLegion as a top-five-caliber team at this point. Vitality is rightly regarded as the odds favorite for this match versus GamerLegion and it should be able to win, but bookies are being a bit extreme in terms of their lines.

Team Vitality vs GamerLegion betting picks and predictions

Bookies predicitions show Vitality to win over GamerLegion and that’s understandable. What’s not quite as understandable is the complete lack of respect for GL. The expectation here seems to be a complete and utter stomp. While GamerLegion winning would be a big upset, Vitality completely dominating isn’t such a sure thing.

Vitality is coming in flat-footed after the player break while GamerLegion has been looking strong against solid competition. There’s also some uncertainty about the map pool for either team, with Anubis returning and Train now gone.

Despite this, all lines that do speak to Vitality not dominating have some real viability. GamerLegion winning over 8.5 rounds on a map is above 2.0 odds. ZywOo having under 16.5 kills is at 2.3. Over 2.5 rounds is at 3.37. And most notably here, Vitality winning in three maps is set at a whopping 4.00.

Don’t bet against Vitality, but look for some lines related to them facing some resistance from GL.
