Fans can look forward to seeing new VCT Team Capsules and other rewards in the 2025 competitive Valorant circuit, but what might you find in them?
Valorant sells cosmetic bundles based off different high-achieving teams to help generate revenue for those teams and the game itself. In the year 2024 alone, the company behind them reported making over $44 million USD to distribute from these cosmetic bundles. Now, Riot Games is announcing the highly popular Team Capsules are returning once again for the 2025 season with an emphasis on team spirit and unique branding.
Here’s what is in the VCT Team Capsules in 2025, what other cosmetics fans can look forward to, and how to purchase them all.
For the 2025 season, Valorant is bringing back both the Team Capsules and Champion Collection alongside introducing a new cosmetic good.
Team Capsules come with a number of items that players can don in-game to represent their favorite teams. In 2025, the available cosmetics include:
Because of their VCT 2024 win, EDG gets the Champions Collection that will be made available for 2025. Their player cards includes a unique champions flair to commemorate their victory.
Valorant added new effects to player cards and the capsule as a whole. The Team Capsules have a “midnight splash” theme now, and each team submitted a different set of its organizational branding for 2025. The stated reason for the change was to help distinguish the new items from those in the 2024 collection. Some also speculate that it was to try deflecting any criticism from using the relatively basic classic skins again when many were asking for entirely new skins.
Each VCT region will get its own collection. Based on the images, it seems that there are over 40 teams receiving Team Capsules, including such famous names as Fnatic, Talon Esports, FunPlus Phoenix, and NRG. Other teams that earned promotion during Ascension, such as Boom, will receive capsules later on in the season.
Valorant is also adding a Season Capsule. This will feature a unique melee skin and was inspired by the LOCK//IN collection. 2023’s LOCK//IN event took place in Rio de Janiero and kicked off the season that year with a global cast. The Valorant team stated it would be sharing more details later in the year about what’s new in this regard.
Valorant is making Team Capsules available at various points in the season through the Valorant Esports Store, and that’s where players will be able to get them.
Team Capsules are currently available in the Valorant Esports Store in-game. Players can go directly to the store page and from there clock on the esports tab.
The total bundle costs 2,320 Valorant Points, or around $25 USD depending on the currency package purchased. Unlike in past years, each item can be purchased separately if desired. Classic skins, for example, sell for 2,175 VP – almost the cost of the entire bundle in full. Players who purchased any Team Capsule in 2024 will also get a “returner’s discount,” lowering the new price in exchange for their proven loyalty.
The International League kicks off with VCT CN on January 11, 2025, and continues at a rapid pace from there. The top two teams from each league will advance to the first Masters event in Bangkok, Thailand. Dedicated fans can now support their team by watching and repping them through skins when playing Valorant.
