valorant mobile launch exclusive skin

After much waiting, Valorant Mobile has finally arrived in China, and a new exclusive skin bundle has fans abroad feeling a little jealous.

Valorant fans have been eagerly anticipating the game’s release, even if many of them across the world have been disappointed by its international release lagging well behind the domestic launch of the game in China. 18 agents have already been made available at launch, playable through 10 unique game modes.

Developer Riot Games has promised to bring plenty of in-game cosmetics to Valorant Mobile, just as it has produced for the original desktop version of the game. These cosmetics, mostly focused around weapon skins, will sometimes be made exclusive to the game’s mobile version. And while the game continues to operate solely in China, those skins also remain exclusive to the region.

Valorant Mobile launches with exclusive skins

Skins have been a big part of the Valorant formula since the game was first released in 2020. While the main draw to the tactical shooter is its intense first-person shooting gameplay, the game’s bevy of cosmetics is undeniably also a point of attraction.

That’s important for Riot Games, as with Valorant being a free-to-play title, the company largely relies of sales of its skins and general cosmetics to create revenue in and around the game. Riot has already released more than 100 skins, with each of the game’s many weapons having a broad range of skins available covering different themes and rarities, and coming at different costs depending on those rarity levels. Rarer skins tend to have more features, including unique animations not seen elsewhere in the game.

Bringing this same level of customization and monetization to Valorant Mobile was always going to be important for Riot, and that’s reflected in some of the first skins available in the new release.

The newest skin bundle put on display is an appropriate one given that the game’s current availability is exclusive to China. The included weapon skins feature a red-and-gold color scheme with bits of jade green. It evokes imagery of Ancient Chinese mythology, and it’s hard to deny that the new skins look great. The bundle features four different color variants beyond the base look, as well as unique reload and finisher animations for the players willing to invest in it.

The following is a list of all weapons that will receive skins as part of this skin bundle that’s exclusive to Valorant Mobile:

The new Valorant Mobile-exclusive skin bundle will cost a total of 6,760 Valorant Points. The cost of the individual weapon skins breaks down to just under 1,700 VP, while the melee weapon skin would come in at well over 3,300 VP. Melee weapon skins are typically more expensive in Valorant, so that shouldn’t be any surprise to fans of the game.
