Twitch Is Testing An AI Stream Coach — Here’s How It Works

Amazon-backed livestreaming platform Twitch is testing a new feature that will act as an AI coach for streamers, giving them personalized feedback to improve.

Twitch has been playing around with several experimental features to improve things for its users. One of these includes auto clips, which was a feature that would automatically generate clips from the best moments of a stream. Another is AI-generated summaries of what happened in a stream. Twitch CEO Dan Clancy claims AI can help creators, but the platform received significant flak when it was revealed that the AI training feature was enabled by default. Now, Twitch is experimenting with another AI feature, which can become a Stream Coach for creators.

How the AI Stream Coach can help Twitch streamers

The Stream Coach will give creators personalized feedback at the end of each broadcast, highlighting several elements. These include what was working, which parts engaged the viewers, and what streamers could try next. The feedback is AI-generated and will be created individually for each stream. Twitch notes that the feature is for informational purposes only and can have errors. The platform also says that the recommendations aren’t guaranteed to work, and creators can also disable the feature, if they don’t want to use it.

Despite this, there are several things that AI Stream Coach can teach streamers, including monetization, engagement, channel setup, and other Twitch features. Monetization is particularly notable, as Twitch expanded access to Bits, subs, and Channel Points to eligible streamers globally in May 2026. The Stream Coach page says the feature may use clips, and this could likely be the case to pinpoint where engagement was highest during the stream. Channel Setup and information about Twitch features will likely recommend what is lacking and introduce new options.

Some people instantly assume that anything AI-related may be detrimental for both humanity and quality, but this isn’t always the case. The Stream Coach may be AI-powered, but it can provide vital information to streamers. This personalized feedback could help a streamer improve their content significantly, potentially increasing their revenue. The AI won’t take over a stream or control anything, and it will just recommend what the creators can do better.

This seems to be the future. For instance, Kick streamer Rangesh “N3on” Mutama recently started using an AI model to livestream when he’s offline himself. This has received significant backlash from viewers and other creators, who think AI may dilute the human experience, but I feel this move from Twitch makes sense for both creators and their audience.
