How Twitch streamer Ibai broke his own Twitch viewership record with massive stream

Spanish-speaking steamer Ibai “Ibai” Llanos Garatea has secured his record of having the most concurrent viewers on Twitch yet again with a record-smashing number of concurrent viewers tuning in to his boxing event stream.
Ibai may not be a household streamer name in some English-speaking parts of the world. But the Spanish-language content creator boasts a staggering 18.9 million followers on Twitch. He’s most famous for his boxing streams, which bring in an impressive number of viewers each time.
La Velada del Año V was steamed on July 2025, with Ibai having 4 million concurrent viewers when the stream started. This itself ensured that he broke his own previous streaming record, and the number of viewers continued to increase as the event went along with surprised Twitch users questioning just who Ibai is and how he gets so many viewers during his record-breaking streams.
Ibai holds top four record spots for most concurrent viewers on Twitch
Spanish-speaking streamer Ibai has held the record of having the most concurrent viewers on Twitch for the past four years.
Ibai first became the Twitch streamer with the most concurrent viewers in July 2022 when he streamed his second boxing event. More than 3.3 million concurrent viewers tuned in to watch that event. And that wasn’t the end of it, as the streamer outperformed himself in 2023 with over 3.4 million peak concurrent viewers.

Ibai has seemingly gotten used to breaking his own records since then. In 2024, his boxing event peaked at over 3.8 million viewers. The streamer’s latest boxing event was streamed in July 2025, and he once again beat his own record. This time he went even further above and beyond, peaking at 10,886,384 concurrent viewers on Twitch, a staggering number by any measure.
Who is Ibai?
Ibai is a Spanish celebrity, influencer, and esports commentator, with a massive fan following that has helped him put together record-breaking streams on Twitch.
Ibai began his career by commentating prominent League of Legends matches. The streamer then moved on to join G2’s as an exclusive content creator. In 2021, Ibai co-founded the esports team KOI with Gerard Piqué.
While Ibai has had a significant presence in esports, he has also been involved in films, documentaries, and more. The Spanish streamer is significantly popular among Spanish-speaking audiences, as evidenced by the number of viewers who tune in to his streams.
Ibai also has the third most popular channel on Twitch, demonstrating the strength of the Spanish-speaking market for streaming. In 2022, Ibai broke David “TheGrefg” Cánovas Martínez’s record to become the streamer with the most concurrent viewers on Twitch. TheGrefg is also a Spanish-speaking streamer and he still holds the fifth spot for most concurrent Twitch viewers behind Ibai’s four record-breaking streams.
Khizar Mundia has been playing video games for as long as he can recall. Things have come a long way since the many days he spent playing the original NES, though. He now covers a variety of competitive games and esports, as well as the world of streaming, ranging from Twitch to Kick. If it’s of interest to gamers, it’s of interest to Khizar.
