Trainwreckstv is back to claiming part ownership, founding of Kick

Tyler “Trainwreckstv” Niknam’s name has been tied to Kick since the streaming platform’s original launch in 2022, but his exact position has remained somewhat vague. The streamer has now delivered a fresh update that once again is causing fans and followers to discuss his role with the streaming platform.
When Kick launched in 2022, not much was broadly known about its ownership. The site got much of its initial attention from Trainwreckstv, a popular streamer who often promoted it on his Twitch streams until he eventually caught a Twitch ban. It later became more broadly known that Kick was founded by Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani, the same people behind popular betting platform Stake. But fans of the streamer have always wondered what exactly his role is at Kick.
While Trainwreckstv hasn’t directly said whether he owns part of Kick or just streams there, a new update from the streamer has given us a clearer idea of his role.
Is Trainwreckstv a Kick co-founder?
Trainwreckstv is indeed a co-founder and at least partial owner of Kick, according to updates made to the streamer’s social media profiles.

When Kick first launched, Train’s bio clearly stated that he helped co-found the platform. But he later removed that particular line, and the change sparked plenty of speculation. Despite the ensuing confusion, he continued streaming on Kick and promoting it across his social media accounts. Eventually, the streamer clarified that he serves in an advisory role with the co-founders of Stake serving as Kick’s primary owners, settling much of the confusion.
This was back in 2022, but things seem to have changed since then. Fans recently noticed that Trainwrecks had updated his bio once again, this time calling himself a “Kick co-founder.” The change suggests he might now hold a more official position with the company, or that his behind-the-scenes involvement in Kick’s creation was bigger than some had thought.
The term “owner” might not be directly related to Kick’s finances or business operations, though it would be a bit misleading if so. As an advisor, he was heavily involved in both promoting Kick and helping establish its famous 95–5 revenue split, a key feature that defined the site’s identity. This was something that even Kick owners have given Trainwreckstv the credit for.
His bio change comes just as Train has hinted at moving back to the United States, which caught fans’ attention since he originally relocated to Canada in order to better continue with his gambling streams. With access to major online betting sites continuously evolving as gambling laws develop in the US, the streamer could see an opportunity to head back home while continuing with his popular gambling and betting streams.
