TEAM VISION survive 90+ minute TI15 game against Falcons to save everyone’s predictions
TEAM VISION has defeated Team Falcons 2-1 in an unexpected match-of-the-day at The International 2026, TI15. The three-game instant-classic went the full distance, including a 94-minute final game to secure VISION’s win.
VISION, are widely regarded as favorites to win the tournament, and one of the most predicted teams to win in both in-game TI15 predictions, and predictions markets. A loss could have seen thousands of predictors disappointed.
If TEAM VISION lost this TI15 game, dozens of prediction brackets could have been ruined
As mentioned, TEAM VISION are one of the top predicted teams to finish both 4-0 in the group stage (as per Dota 2 in-client predictions), and the most predicted to win the tournament overall.

On Polymarket,
29% of the market
is pointing towards the team winning the tournament who outside of TI15, operate as PARIVISION or PVISION. That figure has fluctuated between 25-29% for the past few days.
On
Kalshi, VISION doesn’t have the largest share, but does have over 6,000 contracts purchased on them winning, albeit at a smaller total value.
So the team losing on the very first day wasn’t on the cards. After going 2-1 against Team Resilience (a surprising 2-1 at that), the team hit a far more dangerous opponent in Team Falcons.
Game one went Falcons way, if only because the team failed to shut down Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf’s Centaur, and Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak’s Huskar, who scaled absolutely out of control. Beyond that, Falcons just looked better team fighting, something true of the whole series.
Most people’s predictions put TEAM VISION as a 4-0 team. Image via Valve/Win.gg
In game two, VISION started to come to life. The Lone Druid (or more specifically the Lone Druid’s bear) from Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov, and Edgar “9Class” Naltakian’s amazing performance on Pudge locked in the second game, making it 1-1.
The final, endurance test of a match saw bans for the Pudge and Lone Druid, putting Satanic onto a Shadow Fiend pick that looked perfect. This game went so long. A 94-minute slobber-knocker (to steal a phrase from pro wrestling) that saw seven Divine Rapier purchases, a Roshan so strong that it almost three-shot Satanic, and a centaur with what seemed like a million health.
TEAM VISION’s victory here will put them on a collision course with some of the other winningest teams at TI. But Falcons, the reigning TI champs, were probably the biggest challenges they’ll face.
For predictors, it’s time to breathe a sigh of relief for now. But remember: Arguably, no team that was the favorite before TI has ever won the title. VISION would be the first.
