theburntpeanut has a harsh response for viewbotting accusations

theburntpeanut has climbed to the top of Twitch’s most-watched streamers list, but with viewbotting concerns growing across the platform and throughout streaming in general, some viewers are questioning whether his numbers are fully organic. Here’s how the streamer has responded to those allegations.
When it comes to Twitch, a handful of names dominate the top ranks. Hasan Piker, Ibai Garatea, CaseOh, Felix “xQc” Lengyel, and even Tyler “Ninja” Blevins have been found at the top. So when viewers checked the list of most-watched Twitch streamers at the start of 2026, it came as a surprise to many to see the number-one spot taken up by theburntpeanut.
theburntpeanut isn’t exactly new to streaming, but compared to those household names, he’s far from a mainstream pick, leading fans to ask questions about just who he is and how he got here.
theburntpeanut responds to Twitch viewbotting allegations
theburntpeanut’s climb to the top of Twitch’s most-watched streamer rankings didn’t come without viewbotting allegations. This is a well-known issue on both Kick and Twitch. Some pointed to a mid-stream drop in viewers as evidence of fake viewers, while others questioned how a streamer they hadn’t previously hadn’t heard of could suddenly overtake more established names.

theburntpeanut has responded to the viewbotting allegations during a recent stream, calling it a “loser’s topic” and “cope.”
“You can spin it any way you can, at the base of it, it’s cope,” theburntpeeantu said.
He went on to explain that switching streaming servers multiple times can affect viewer counts, and added that there isn’t “a continent on this planet” where people don’t know who theburntpeanut is.
His argument was later backed by Asmongold, who dismissed the accusations by saying that people are just jealous of theburntpeanut’s success.
Whether theburntpeanut is viewbotting or not, it makes sense why some may suspect that he may be buying views. Just in January 2026, theburntpeanut recorded a 14% jump in Twitch viewership, outperforming streamers such as Caedrel, Asmongold, and Jynxzi to claim the title of the platform’s most-watched streamer. That kind of sudden surge has led some to question the legitimacy of his viewership.
If the numbers are real, theburntpeanut could be earning at a level comparable to some of top streamers on Twitch in 2026. StableRonaldo has claimed that the burntpeanut’s annual streaming income could be many millions of dollars, based on estimates derived from his average viewership across Twitch and YouTube. According to that breakdown, Twitch alone could account for over a million in earnings if theburntpeanut is able to maintain his pace, and that money-making potential is what some say serves as motivation for viewbotting.
While theburntpeanut was clearly annoyed by the accusation of viewbotting, it’s likely not going away anytime soon. The topic has only picked up momentum in the streaming community, with Adin Ross evens seemingly admitting to viewbotting following similar accusations that he’d been dealing with.
Whether his viewership is inflated or not, theburntpeanut is far from a new name in streaming, with his first recorded activity dating back to 2019. Since then, he has repeatedly shifted his content direction, moving from games like Escape from Tarkov and ARC Raiders to the humor-driven format set around his popular peanut avatar.
While his appearance atop Twitch’s most-watched streamers list may feel sudden to some, his work has already earned industry recognition, including a nomination for Content Creator of the Year at The Game Awards.
